Yeah, I wasn't a fan of all the guitar stuff Steve was doing on it tonight.
I still have yet to hear the wolf, since there is no recording of the first version.
But please Trusty, tell them to leave it raw! We need at least 2 or 3 heavy songs on this album. We only had 1 on Burn Burn, and really none on Healthy.
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida
Although I think "This is it" is pretty solid, the one thing that still kind a disapoints me is some parts of the vocals, Raine seems to be holding back on some parts where he should be showing a lot more emotion. The falsettos in the song are great, but everything else just is weak IMO.
Agreed, I don't know why Raine is lacking so much of the energy he was known for in his vocals. During the SM/Clumsy tour from last year, in songs like Car Crash, he showed just how much potential he still has to really wow us with his vocals. Not just falsetto-wise, but as a whole. Just compare the songs from Gravity to those from Burn Burn. Same style of music, but Gravity's songs end up being so much more powerful, memorable and energetic because of Raine's vocal efforts.
Studio vocals are permanent, and no one's expecting him to reproduce them at every live performance. I wish he'd put a bit more effort into them.

I want it! I want it! I missed yesterday...how can i get it from you?
Also, I missed Saturday night as well...I saw the video of This Is It but there must have been more than a 5 minute stream....is there a recording of the rest of that night?
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?
And I uploaded the live chat onto my dropbox. I'll probably remove the link in 2-3 days so I don't have my dropbox bandwith killed. Someone can try uploading it to youtube to see if they have better luck than I do.
Just a warning: it's 908 MB. So.... you might not want to download it now since the live stream is soonish.
