i know a couple of friends who have been accepted to both queen's and western already.

oh my god. i am going to be an aunt.

my brother hasn't even been married a month, and his wife is already pregnant. damn, they work fast. heh, my mom was freaking out. it was funny.

i am totally going to be fun aunt lori.

Aunthood/unclehood has to be one of the best roles ever! All of the fun with none of the responsibility. Just be sure that you're the one who does things with them that their parents won't (such as letting them drive when they can barely see over the wheel!).

Anyways...

My boss has two sons. One of them was talking to him on the phone at work today, asking him "How is the Easter Bunny going to know what I want?" (they get them little presents for easter).
So my boss told him that the Easter Bunny came over and that he told him to bring a radio (that's what his son wants). The kid didn't believe him, so I came on the phone and pretended to be the Easter Bunny. It was fun!
Then, a couple of hours later, his other (younger) son called, wanting to talk to the Easter Bunny, so I got to do it again.

It feels good to make children happy.

Man. I had a nasty nightmare last night.

Made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.

Nightmares are the worst when you're away at school
because you wake up all scared
and then realize you're so far away from you family.


When I first started going to school, I"d wake up everyday thinking I was at home
and if there was noise in the hall, I'd think it was my mom and brother
and then I'd realize I wasn't at home
and I'd be sad.

I found out the other day that my really cool History teacher likes OLP. I was listening to my CD player, and he asked what I was listening to...
"Our Lady Peace"
"Oh yeah. What CD?"
"Naveed"
"Ooh! That's their best. What's your favourite song from that CD?"
"I don't know. I like them all. The Birdman's on right now."
"Yeah, I love that song."
"Me too."
"So, is that your favourite band or something?"
"Yeah."
"Cool!"
[some jerk calls him over for help on the work we were doing]

Western is an awesome university .. beautiful campus .. good school

Ya! I've only heard good things about it...I really wanna go there, the only negative is it being like 8 hours away..

Queen's is closer, but doesn't have as good as a program as Western does for what I wanna do [the MIT program , Queen's has Film Studies, but ya..]

But it has an awesome atmosphere [Queen's], and I know people there, and it's such a cute city [Kingston] so ya..I'm torn..

me too, well not an aunt but an uncle....and it's kind of cool. i don't like little kids, they are loud noisy and stinky, and often times sticky. but anyway i've been an uncle for 13 years, (since i was 7) my brother had a kid when we has 16.

London is really nice if you decide to go to Western .. I lived there for 2 years while I was going to college and it's a beautiful city .. I loved it and miss it now that I moved back home.
