I won't buy "army of two" until I can at least rent it and see what I think. You wound up buying Lost Odessey? haha! Nice. I almost rented that one today, but then decided buying Bully was enough. I shouldn't have even bought Bully (being without a car and all) but i figured maybe it would cheer me up a bit.

Hey guys, I was wondering if any of you have heard of Goozex.

For those of you who haven't, it's an awesome game trading community that doesn't rip you off like EB does.

I'll try to explain how it works.

Basically, there are 2 'currencies', points and trade credits. Points are how much a game costs. 100 points = $5. Points change depending on supply and demand. The highest point cost is 1000 points (brand new or rare games) and the lowest is 100 points.

Trade credits basically determine how many trades you can make. They only go down when you receive a game. So if you have 5 trade credits, and you get matched to receive a game, you 'pay' the cost of the game in points and you pay one trade credit, ending up with 4 left. It is always 1 trade credit per game, no more. They have a value of $1.

So here's how trading works.

You go through the list on the site's database, and you add games to your request queue (the ones you want), and to your library (the ones you have to trade).

Goozex will match you up with someone who wants the game you have. You get sent a message, and the option to accept or decline the trade. From there you have the option of sending within 1 day or sending within 3 days (I always pick 3 even though I usually send it out on the first day). Goozex provides you with the address of the person you have to send the game to, and from there you just pop the game in a bubble mailer and send it off. When they get the game, they give feedback, and you get points to buy a game you want. Yay!

So say you bought Assassin's Creed, beat it, and decided you don't want to play it anymore. You could sell it to EB and get ripped off, OR, you trade it with Goozex, get 1000 points (since it's new) and use those to buy another brand new game (like Army of Two or whatever).

It's a kickass system. I've sent out 4 games, and so far I've received 1 (Metal Gear Solid 1 for the PS1 in mint condition! Score!)

If you guys want an invite, just let me know and I'll send one to your e-mail.

I know I sound like a big shill right now, but it's a great site and a great way to play next gen games (or get old games like PS1 or Dreamcast) without dishing out tons of cash.

Also you can just buy Goozex points if you don't want to send out games.

Most definitely not!

Actually it kind of sucks cause the only thing I don't get a discount on is consoles, and thats exactly what I want a discount on. :(

Man I totally didn't read this before.
Thats right. I'm a fucking babe.

Army of Two is supposed to be sweet if you play with someone else. I hear its not as good solo, but still a good game.
Lost Odyssey looks so sick. I honestly want to buy a 360 just to play it. Anything that is 4 disks long for 360 is a MASSIVE game.
How do you guys find Bully? I find the controversy of it funny, and completly unnecessary, but aside from that I didn't think it looked entertaining at all. haha.

(and 25% off PO games)

Let me abuse your store discount!

And Lost Odessy play very much like old school Final Fantasy games. And thats something that I've always liked.

Army of Two has a great single player campaign. I know because I have it and completed by myself. The campaign gets even better when you play with a buddy AND you can earn cash and bling your weapons out.

Bully is fun and entertaining. You might like it.

So get a 360 hort Sarah and get live! Then we could play!

I got bored by Bully when I played the PS2 version. It's nowhere near as fun as the GTA games, which it is so obviosly struggling to be (lolGTAschool)

Army of Two is waaaay too short. It's a good game, but not worth the 60 dollar price tag, even with the online multiplayer options. Single player works, because they did pretty well with the AI partner, but yes it's way better playing co-op with another person. If they added actual downloadable mission content, then it would be worth buying now, but I bought it and am finished it in only a few hours. I know a lot of people who've sold it already to get as much cash as they could, because it's so ridiculously short that they got all the achievements in one night.

Lost Odyssey isn't as huge of a game as people think. Yes it's an RPG and those are often long games, but you gotta remember that Microsoft was stupid and opted to use last gen technology in their next gen console with the DVD format. So each disc has a maximum capacity of 7.95 GBs worth of space... only the thing that makes the game seem like it's a huge or really long game with being four discs are all the FMV/Movie scenes. The game play portion could easily fit on a single disc without the FMV sequences. So it's really one DVD of game play and 3 DVDs of FMV sequences!
