Am i the only one who hates Matt's site? As cool as all those bottles and jugs are, its confusing the heck out of me. As much as he wants to "rage againts the consumerist machine" a lot of the points he's trying to make simply wont be made because people arent gonna be able to find them.

click on the bottom right icon... he gives a sarcastic explanation of how to build a website... as well as the 1935 document outlining the USA's plans to invade Canada...
I can't wait until the day schools are over-funded and the military is forced to hold bake sales to buy planes.

The website explanation is probably taken from a real document. All the items he outlines are quite accurate when it comes down to web design. But your right it is sarcastic seeing as he breaks every rule he lists in his own site.

Secondly as funny or scary as the 1935 document is, the US apparently has plans to invade every country in the world in case a "hostile situation arises."

nope.
"When looking up there, I just felt whole, like I belonged. Like one day I too would shine my most brilliant. Sitting there also made me think about sitting through services at my little country church back home. About that never-changing congregation of the same sixty-seven people and everyone has known you since before you were born. Now, out here in the real world, everything just seemed more vivid than when I used to sit in that little pew. That pew that was now so, so far away from where I was. I feared I had somehow left God behind there, too. I feared he was somehow just sitting there, saving my seat on the fifth pew from the front row, just waiting on me to come back. I left so quickly, I worried that he may not have noticed I was gone. And, now, I’m just too far away to find. So he’s just sitting there, patiently waiting on me to come back. I closed my eyes and prayed a moment. I hoped more than anything that he could still hear me." -an excerpt from my novella, A Sea of Fallen Leaves.

And he can't understand how everyone goes on breathing when true love ends, his mother whispers quietly... heaven's not a place that you go when you die, it's that moment in life when you actually feel alive

maybe that part of the site is like a maze... and at the end of the maze is something cool...

Or maybe it's just nothing.

I'm sure its nothing. I tried for quite some time. I think Matt's trying to be to clever for his own good. Or mabye the whole thing will make sense once his album is released.

"For those of you unable to use Puretracks to download the new single "Alert Status Red", MatthewGood.org will be hosting streaming audio of the new single and will also be streaming an additional track from the upcoming album. Look for them in the weeks ahead. (Quicktime will be required)."

Yay
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
