did he actually get fired? I thought he quit, and that made sense to me coz I know that he's actually pretty educated in music and can actually play drums like a mofo. He actually went to the same music school I'm at right now. Do you think someday even I could sell my soul and make millions playing generic rock?
yeah he was actually fired, i read about it on Chartattack. They invited him out to a cabin to tell him he was fired out of no where. He's apparently going to school in Berkley now

Yeah, I just read on muchmusic's website that he was fired. I wouldn't be too sad if I were him though, he's got his millions of dollars and now he can do whatever he wants.

and then they played one song off of st. anger and everyone was like whatever.
Yeah, they only played "St. Anger" for our night in Philly (and only "Frantic" the next night in Philly). I reeeeeeeeeeeeally didn't mind, and I'm sure nobody else did, either. It's sad, though, cos it means the band's well aware that their fans hate the album... and if you watch any interviews/documentaries about it, they were really proud of it. Poor guys.

Can't believe it took that many pages.

It's odd that a band only plays one track off an album that they should be trying to promote, which may mean that weren't as proud of the album as they let on. I know when the Dave Matthews Band released their "Everyday" album all the interviews immediatly after had everyone upbeat saying how much they loved the album. Later it came out that everyone wasn't as pleased about the album as they initially let on, it was more of a hype to get everyone to go out and buy the album. Because really, who wants to buy and album if some of the band members themselves don't like it?
this thread turned into a thread about OLP's relation with Bob Rock, because it's in the OLP forum, lol. You wanna discuss other bands, do it in the music forum. Obviously stuff you mention here will twist and turn towards OLP.

ps- i hate bob rock
Dude, settle down I was just givning an example off the top of my head, god forbid if I dicussed a different band, you'll see that in my previous posts in the thread more than contain enough OLP information. And why are you slagging quite possible one of the only serious threads that actually discusses something? Half the threads here are spamed up 3 posts into it, this one has somewhat managed to stay on course.

you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.
And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
