I've befriended a few of the rebellious ones, but there is a large group at my school who keep to themselves. Its crazy. The pamphlets i've read are horrible. They say stuff like "Dont let your child be oblivious to his faults" and all this.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

holy god. I've read leaflets and pamphlets from the Jehovah's Witness group too and they were too freaky to finish reading, for me at least. it was basically "how can we please God?" and the illustrations were of the 50's-60's stereotypical "perfect" families: ie. little girls in pigtails wearing pink dresses and tall, masculine fathers with big cars, and young boys who like to play with electric trains, and blonde mothers who wear aprons and wait upon their husbands, etc.
the text itself was scary but the pictures were more freaky.

By extravagant shows of faith i meant the corrupt decadence that the Catholic church has been living in since near it's creation. I'm saying why do we need such superficial things when the money could be used to atually change our world, instead of spending it on gods and expecting them to chane it for us.

Ok, I see where you're coming from. That makes sense. I just want to defend my faith a little, since people gripe over our 10% tithing. The LDS church donates millions and millions of dollars each year to all sorts of causes. It's pretty amazing actually.

Matt, there are plenty of other people on the board who are as sarcastic as I am!

Is that sarcasm? :P

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
