The stupidest modern art I've ever seen was in MoMA. It was (and I am not lying) a square of the wall, probably one foot by one foot... that someone had polished. Like, the rest of the wall was matte finished white paint.... this square was shiny white paint. And it had a plaque. It was "art".

I don't get it. :wtf:

Thats a lot better than some "modern art" I've seen. Secondly modern art is quite a broad term. Anything that was created in the 20th century is modern art.

Lastly what do you think of this idea. Its probably been done before but as far as I'm aware, my idea is original. My idea for a "modern art piece" is to put up a very large blank canvas on an art gallary wall and sign my name at the bottom. In front of the large canvas i'd put an array of paints, pencil crayons and what not. All of them opened and ready to go. The idea would be that no matter what anyone passing by added to the canvas, it would still be mine.

That's actually pretty cool.

I thought so too. It would be even cooler if the canvas was open for addition for an unlimited period of time. It would be an ever evolving piece of work.

That would be cool.

Hopefully. I doubt any art gallery would let me do such a thing unless I was world famous.
