I actually love this song.. call me crazy.. but i love it.

The one line idon't like is 'we're just losers on an open road'
i liked the old line better haha

i have a question

after the line
"we wanted the simple things i miss"
what does he say? i guess i guess?
you have to, you just have to trust me
whoever i was then i can't ever be again
the faith you've found i've never felt
the terror held in wedding bells
the comfort in "there's no one else"
the truth be told, i'm never going to know

It sounds like they're missing an instrument...like dude, plug in the guitar!

and ya, the xylophone, um its a xylophone.

Hmm....It may grow on me, but for once in a long time I just wanna hear new OLP and be really really excited.

Ok, it's not bad...uh, need more in depth listening. I'm off to get a 28 :P

just heard the new song...absolutely liked the live version at the Junos better...call me crazy, but somehow the lyrics just doesn't fit as good...and they sort of lost their rock edge and bridge into pop...
still, can't wait for their new album

besides the song being complete shit

the song doesnt flow, there are too many words in many parts of the song, and lyrics are real cheesy.

just my opinion

I agree. There's no connectivity. It's like they took a bunch of different ideas and just threw them together without a whole lot of thought behind them.

Maybe that's what "raw" means...?

So I tried the "listening to it numerous times" approach, which seemed to work for a few people.

It definitely made it worse. :uh:

Each time I found something new I didn't like.

I don't know about the song. It just doesn't get me excited for new OLP stuff. I feel like I'm hearing Gravity part II, which disappoints me as Raine as mentionned plenty of times that OLP always try to come up with something new and different with each album. And up until this point they had, at least until now.

I know it isn't right to base this comment on one song, but IF this song is any indication of their work in the studio, I think we're going to see Gravity part II.

I dont think we'll see seeing gravity part two but in all honestly I dont care either way. I'm judging them more so on Dont ask Why then this song. Infact I doubt the song will make the album simply because they released it in the Labatt package before they even announced a single.

so, i've listened to it about 6 times now (would've been more if matt good hadn't just released a new cd, which is incredible by the way) I still i am not sure about it. I still don't really get it. They still can't find that thing that they had with Mike before he left. The thing that made every song so original and different from each other and all so equally great. I, myself have mixed up songs on Gravity all the time. Never happened once with the others. I don't believe this will be the new single now that i've really thought about it. But who knows?
