Plus Ian McKellan is gay too .. and after he got a whack of hate mail after The Fellowship of the ring came out .. they went hush hush on Lijah and Dom so they wouldn't cause even more crap.

did you know that the girl that plays donna dates (or at least used to date) francis from malcom in the middle? heh, then on an episode of that 70's show, donna had to kiss hyde, and she said it was incredible weird because she was kissing her boyfriend's brother.
