getting back to the piercing question, my advice is to just do it and not tell mom in advance. worked for me. by the time she notices it it'll be too late to do anything about it.

Thats what i did with my tattoo. I didn't tell my dad cause when my sister got hers he freaked. So i hid it for a year til i got tired of hiding it.

i say just do it and show your mom afterwards. she probably won't care. i showed my mom the day after i got my piercing and she didn't really care. she just threatened that it would get infected and told me not to come crying to her if it did get infected. my dad on the other hand still doesn't know.
