Car Crash is pretty much the greatest vocals that Raine has ever done. There are way too many other moments to mention but I love the "UH-UUUU-O-WOO-OOO WHOOOOO," "Ground is SKYYY," and the "I love, I love how you let me fall" all from Under Zenith, "Oh whyyyy-hiiii" in Starseed, Naveed itself, the final "HIIIGH" in Superman's Dead, the "NO-WHO-WUH-HOO" thing in Big Dumb Rocket, the "Uh-oh" in Consequence of Laughing, TWF chorus, "Blaaack" in Everyone's a Junkie, "Take this time to figure it out, know the wire, the fuse, the things that you doubt, the wheels, the air, the metal, the mouth; something, something, SOMETHING" from In Repair, "Sunny days again" from Bring Back the Sun, the Angels/Losing/Sleep chorus, "The sun is in the hole" part of WTFBU, "Can't find you, so I'll call... your...name" from Picture, and "A place I didn't know" from Al Genina. Also all the vocals once Elvin kicks in on Stealing Babies, and the "Do-do-dodundo-do-do-do" in TWF

To pretty much sum it up, any falsetto moment is a favorite moment.

High five. That song is so under-appreciated.

Under Zenith is awesome. Some randoms had their cell phones blaring crappy music from the radio, and I whipped out the chorus of UZ... I got some strange looks and raised eyebrows.

I love the burst of falsetto glory during the falsetto that already exists. Around the four minute mark in Car Crash.

The funny thing is, if you played that for their older siblings (or maybe even parents if they're younger), they would know exactly who it is.

True! I am currently schooling my 20 year old sister on the greatness of OLP...all she used to come up with that OLP sings was Innocent - she was missing so much! We now have plans on attending a show together...just waiting for that western Canada date(s) to be announced! I even convinced my Mom to come to a show with me one time...and she thought they were too "weird" when I made her listen to them in the 90s - but she has now seen the light - but she is a pretty cool Mom. :)

Yeah, sadly OLP is mostly known for their post-Spiritual Machines era in the common public sphere, and I do often try to educate people about their back-catalog. My mom loves Raine's falsetto, but she doesn't really dig the crazy out-theres like Car Crash and Carnival.

And "Paper Moon" like single for me it's a good idea to educate people on back catalog...

It's funny that you should say that because every time I mention OLP to someone, they reply, "Oh, I miss them. It's been, like, 6 or 7 years since they've come out with anything new, right? Are they still together?" Which means that the people that I run into haven't heard anything post-Gravity.

I think people think there are two different bands! I know people who were fans pre-gravity who don't really think OLP has put anything out new in a long time. Then there are those who became fans with Gravity and don't realize what was out there before.
