Raine's voice wasn't that bad. It was weak in the chorus a bit, but the versus were just fine. I don't think that talk shows give him justice. If you see OLP in concert then you'll really hear him well. He sounded spectacular at the concert I went too, hence the reason I'm going back. If he didn't sound good in concert I don't think I'd be as big of a fan as I am. He just doesn't sound the same on talk shows...I dunno if it's nerves or because he doesn't want to be there or what, but when he's into what he's doing (ie. concerts) he really sounds great. :)

They're pretty much broken up I think.

Aww .. that's too bad .. they were pretty good .. so does that mean Mike is more than likely a permanent member now? :D

OK, I asked Mike about Letters To Cleo and he laughed at me and said they broke up. I fired back and said, "well I never listened to that anyways." But Mike said he's working with the band until they're done touring, then it's up to OLP if they want him to stay, which will most likely be yes.

I have no clue, maybe his wife wanted to go solo? She is coming out with one very soon, or it's already out.

Yeah, the hot lead singer lady. Mike is married to her. At least that's what he told me, maybe he's dreaming?

How long have you liked Our Lady Peace? Jamie has been the backup guitar/keyboard player since around the Happiness album I believe. He left the band back in April for 'personal reasons' and Mike is his replacement. Mike was in the band Letters to Cleo .. Jamie was in some of the Gravity posters and banners ..

that is exactly what I said in my previous post. That the TV shows don't do them justice. That song is so much better in a concert setting then a studio audience.

to ever said they like th ebuildup to where Raine sings* I know your out there....* that is my favorite part of the song. How it is quiet, only the guitar then the drum joins in and he belts out that line. I lov eit. He doesn't do it live. Let's the audience sing it. When I see the TV performances it sin't aas good as the cd. I am sorry, but I don't think he can capture the same emotion as the CD. ALthough Not Enought is great live and has the smae type of thing going on there.

Well, CD's are mixed and remixed and all that crap, so I think sometimes songs tend to lose a lot of emotion there, but the CD is certainly more emotional than their talk show performances. Concert performances, on the other hand, are far better than the CD. It think the emotion that Raine shows at concerts is amazing. Sometimes he looks like he's going to cry, even, as if the songs are that personal to him. You don't get the visual emotion on the CD so that's something that definitely helps to make concerts more emotional and personal. But I agree that they show more emotion on the CD than in their talk show performances, then again, Raine's facial expressions seem to indicate that if given the choice between playing a late night talk show or chewing broken glass, he'd rather chew the broken glass.
