Well, that isn't me. Someday you'll see me in his place.

Oh, I know it's not you. I just saw the guy's video and him asking if he sounded like Raine and it reminded me of this thread.

Hey everybody... Maine Raida is back!
“Music doesn’t have the power to change the world. What music does is it changes people, & that changes the world, so to say that music doesn’t change people anymore is just ridiculous. It does everyday. It doesn’t have to be on a political or social level. You could be feeling shitty & it makes you happy & if that’s all it does, it’s changing the world. It’s making it a better place.” ~ Raine Maida

YOu know what is really funny? There is this woman who actually named her daughter Maida Raine. I kid you not. Use to get the updates with stuff on Raine. I wondered if she was a fan. Cause let's face it. Raine is not exactly a common name and it is spelled differently in French( where it is more common) and Maida is definitely not that common.

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I was listening to the Raine/Chantal version.

It fits well.

Oh, very busy these days, Bree. Writing and thinking have become my best friends.

I can update you on a few things though. Trying to be like Raine didn't bring me much good. I felt like I lost my autonomy to an image or perhaps my self-responsibility to an attitude. Whatever it was, I found myself debating irrelevant things, such as the mind-body problem with teenagers on the street. I would slam my shoulder bag into walls because I would be frustrated with the state of the world.

I love being unattached. Who was I anyways?

Raine is not necessarily frustrated with the state of the world. He just realizes how F'ed up it truly is. We all try to do what we can to make our lives better. If that includes helping out another person so be it..

The purpose of life is to love and be loved. If you can love yourself and love someone else so much that you become them, you serve your purpose. Read me?
