I'm not sure I'd go quite that far (OLP seems to be quite good at choosing what makes albums), but there are definitely some gems sitting in the rehearsal space collecting dust.

Hopefully the new olp cd can be like the new metallica cd in terms of bringing back an older sound

I didn't even bother listening to the whole Metallica album on their site because I got bored. Great sound, just nothing interesting going on with the songs.

Yeah, well to be honest I just hope they have any sound other than that of HIPT. I'd rather them sing Barney than doing another Walking in Circles or WTSOYF.

For, me, Gravity is so much better than HIPT, and the preceding 4 albums are even better of course. I think it has a lot to do with the likability as well as Raine's voice. I just don't like what it has has evolved to... and I think this shows with "White Flag" during the verses, where his voice stays one one octave, and doesn't wander randomly like the older music.

Oh my God, can we PLEASE stop whining about how "horrible" HIPT was and how much "better" Gravity was?? I'm getting sick of reading all these posts about how HIPT sucked and Gravity was so much better. THEY BOTH SUCKED, OKAY? Does that appease people? Positivity people! Why is it so hard?!
