The Matthew Good Appreciation Thread
defying_gravity, sorry but the t-shirt will be MINE, as well as "Everything I saw may be a lie" and "You might be a king or a little street sweeper". Also I'm interesting in "Cofuckingquitlam" and "Get me drunk and fuck me". But I doubt I would wear that in public, maybe in a club or when I go to Coquitlum.

They're all brilliant. Especially Cofuckingquitlam. Genius.

It is a MGB CD, so that is perfectly natural.

From matthewgood.net studio diary:
Sounds good to me.
rich wrote:Ok, so where can you find tubular bells, tympani, and a Kaoss pad, all in the same place? It has been a great couple of days, Pat came by and laid some killer tymp tracks, Papa Good dropped some meat on the 'cue that was out of this world and it appears that England has a shot at the Big One. I still can't crack a million in Garibaldi.
Oh, yeah, we are about halfway done the new album.
Sounds good to me.

World events, politics, that kind of thing (prime example = Life In A Glasshouse).

Time to revive this thread!
I've been listening to Loser's Anthem lately, I discovered that I like the recording style the most. The Fine Art of Falling Apart is just amazing, no dubbing, no mixing, just Matt Good, the guitar and the microphone and it somehow brings Matt Good's voice to the closest. Everytime someone ask me for Matt Good recommendations, I send this song.
From what I know, if Matt Good's upcoming album is going to focus on his voice and nothing else, then the songs should sound more like Loser's Anthem. Weapons and House of Smoke and Mirrors are really in that style.
Loser's Anthem has became my desert island selection, I can listen to Fine Art of Falling Apart non-stop on repeat and I still can't get enough.

Life Beyond The Medium Safe Distance is similar. I really like Loser Anthems - it's very different from the full length albums and has some amazing variety (i.e. My Life vs Flashdance II).
