And my car's too broken to drive anywhere else. Maybe if it's nice weather tomorrow I'll take a long walk to the village and get some from the supermarket there.

And it didn't take me as long as I thought to get to the supermarket - only 40 minutes round trip

It would have been a nice walk if only the wind weren't crazily strong and bitter.

I shall begin cooking once I've finished Cming.

I maded them! I ignored the chilling bit cos I'm impatient. And I only had whole cloves - smushing them was fun!

I've just had my first bite and tis yummy. I think I'd do without the sugar rolling in future though - crunching a cookie feels wierd - and I think there are already more than enough calories in there anyway!

yay - you made them!! I didn't roll mine in sugar cuz I usually don't like sugar on my cookies

Last weekend's batch didn't last long... I think I'll make some more soon!

The sugar part doesn't bug me nearly as much as the rolling into balls part. Ugh, I hate how messy your hands get.

Anyway, yay for Soozy finally getting a chance to make them!

Making the above recipe with:
a) No baking soda and instead substituting baking powder
b) No cookie sheet and instead substituting an improvised cake pan. :mrgreen:

I will let you know how they turn out though. It's looking good so far. Baking powder is by far the sketchiest addition.

Ahh they rose just a little too much. But they look fine now. And they smell great!
