they were sold out approximately 9 minutes after they went on sale.
680 news predicted 15 minutes i think.

That's actually pretty slow considering how many acts are playing and the fact that it's FREE.

that's cause it's barrie and barrie is...well, nowhere.
to quote the toronto star: "London...Paris...Rome...Barrie?"
"this show is like an afterthought"

Well, a lot of people probably think it's weird that the US's is in Philly and not NYC.
But it's really cos Philly's cooler.

actually that is not weird at all cause Live Aid was in Philly.. Keeping that in mind it is not that weird.
they probably did it in Philly also cause the whole thing with Central Park and gatherings.. That would be the only place i could think of in NYC that would hold that many people..
I think one of my friends is going to Philly.. Me i will set the VCR to tape it off VH1.. I am working that day..
P.S. about your Bob Gelfdof comment. He just looked very old to me now. He isn't really. I think he is early 50's.. Same age as a Sting and Sting still looks awesome..
what is even funnier is his oldest daughter ( who was just a baby in 85) is probably as old as the kids going to the shows. LOL..

Isnt Philly the most polluted city in the USA? And it has the worst crime rates?
You told me those things.

ome upcoming interviews about the summit and the One campaign
Fri 6/24/05
TONIGHT, Pat Robertson and George Clooney tell America on ABC's "Nightline": there is only ONE side in the fight against global AIDS and extreme poverty. They'll ask viewers to join in signing a letter to President Bush to support an unprecedented debt, aid and trade deal for the world's poorest people at the upcoming G8 summit on July 6.
Be sure to catch George Clooney and Pat Robertson tonight at 11:35pm/10:35pm Central on ABC's "Nightline". No matter who you vote for, whether you go to a church or mosque, or if you live in Hollywood or the Heartland, millions of us agree that as ONE we can reach across divides of politics, religion and music and do something extraordinary, together.
Sunday 6/26/05
It's a weekend of ONE on the airwaves: Sunday, Bono of U2 goes on NBC's "Meet the Press" to discuss the potential for a real breakthrough in the fight against poverty at the G8. And Bob Geldof appears on CBS's "Sunday Morning" to talk about the Live 8 concerts and what they can do to help President Bush reach an historic agreement to help those most in need around the world.
Nikki the reason that live aid was held in philly was that NY wanted too much money and we had a water shortage.
