Could somebody scan that interview and picture with Duncan that was mentioned in the news section? Please? Pretty please?

Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

Heh, I am in the same boat my friend. I've had Steph's guitar for two days now and I can play "Radio" by Alkaline Trio and "Screaming Infidelities" by Dashboard Confessional. Everything else seems to be too hard....
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

Screaming Infidelities. That sounds like an easy song. I'll get tab for it. Thanks for the idea. The only song I can play now is Be Like That by 3 Doors Down.

That's okay. I won't hold it against you. Unless I get into a bad mood later.

And no, I don't play bass. I play guitar. I would, however, LOVE to read an interview with Duncan. Whenever they're on TV, he rarely talks. So I really want to hear what he has to say!

You should have known that you could count on Susan to go out and purchase any music-related magazine in existance at a whim

I would do the same but unfortunately I'm not as conveniently located across from a large shopping center as she is (read=middle of suburbian hell)

Here's something that might be interesting.

My cousin and I got to hang out with Duncan (and Jer) at Tower City when they came for the Rock Hall Show.

(We also met Raine and Mike Eisenstien in tower city. They were all acting normal and it was by chance and luck that we ran into the four of them. - They obviously werent walking together or they would have been spotted by a lot more people.)

Anyway, we walked around with Duncan for a while and he was trying to find the magazine mentioned in the thread.

Unfortunately, he couldn't find it in Walden's and that's the only major place that sells books and magazines in Tower City.

My favorite part about the interview was when he was talking about sometimes your fingers won't coporate so it doesn't matter about Amps and things like that.

He was saying that they played an outdoor show that was really hot and everyone was sweating, that the stage looked like someone hosed it down. how he had to hold on to his amp to keep from falling. He said that the next day they went into the studio and it just wasn't working because the humidity and sweat dried out his callous'

I also love how they asked him what CD's would OLP fans be shocked to know you have. He asked if he had to come clean.

he said the first cd he owned was the soundtrack to *Grease* that his dad liked it, but the first CD he bought was Kiss*Destroyer* he also said he had stuff like The Cure, Yaz, and other 80's acts, but he also had classical stuff.

he mentioned how he wasn't really a bass player, but started on Cello and learned to play later on. Says he is still a student and told upcoming people to work with a lot of different people, to believe in yourself and not let people shit on you( so to speak) or take advatage of you.

There was also alot of things in there I didn't understand because I don't play BASS.

They sell it here so if anyone wants one let me know, I can get it as longas it isn't sold out. I think it will proabably be on the stands for another 2 weeks.

Would you happen to have a scanner? If so, would you be so kind as to scan it for me? :)

If it's too much, don't bother. I know someone out there has to have the mag and a (working) scanner...

I found this magazine today. I was just like "yeah, he likes classical!" but composers I don't really like.

Yes, it's the September issue, and John Entwistle is on the cover.

I'll probably be able to get it at the music store when I go for lessons.
