Sorry for double post...however i read on twitter here https://twitter.com/davedotca/status/416714176984150016 (there is also a retweet of this in Official OLP Account) that a part of the NYE Show in Hard Rock at Vancouver will be broadcasted! Can someone record this?
From what I understood by that Tweet, I gathered that it was only being aired on Global British Columbia; so I am unsure if I will be able to catch it. Maybe someone will though?
There was also another tweet where if i'm not wrong there was another broadcaster...but i can't found it and i don't remember who was...maybe ET Canada? (that if i'm not wrong is the same of two years ago!)
I'm sure ET Canada will eventually highlight the event. I'll be at a friends house on NYE, so I'll see if he gets the west coast channels and fill everyone in. I'm not entirely techy so all I can do is PVR the broadcast at best. Getting it online? Not so much, lol!
You know what I would love to see/hear with this upcoming tour in honour of their anniversary? Some sort of reprise of Trapeze. I've adored listening to boot legs, and I heard it was recorded but never released. Makes me really sad I've never had a chance to hear it live, or a studio version.
Wow! Great idea A2K. I first heard Trapeze live in Winnipeg in 1995 and it was the song that got me hooked on OLP. And I mean hooked. I haven't posted here in ages, but I'm excited about the possibility of being able to attend some of the Naveed anniversary tour shows when I'm back in Canada. I'm currently in Oz and have been in a live OLP drought for the past 6+ years! Eeep.
What an awesome version of this song. PLEASE tell me that this Town Hall tour will inspire them to record more songs from this era in this manner! I love this band...
In case anyone hasn't noticed, all of the content on Facebook referring to the townhall tour was removed a couple days ago. Some people are taking that as a sign that the tour's been cancelled, but I'd think they would post a message fairly quickly if that were the case. Odd.

Well of course is really strange! Well i wish that is only a strange thing and not that the tour is been cancelled...it will be a very bad news for the fans!

My girl friends aunt is the manager at Massey hall and I asked her about the show in April, she said OLP booked Massey for a date in April and everything was being set up an just recently they cancelled it
If they cancelled this tour and didn't tell us, that would be shitty.

That would be shitty. If that's the case, i hope they still go through and release some more acoustic recordings, as I really enjoyed that version of Naveed and was really looking forward to more.
Shit happens in life, and Raines got family, so, it's sad, but things come up, which is just sorta how it goes sometimes.
We have decided to postpone our anniversary tour for an undetermined length of time but, as always, you will be the first to know about what OLP does next.
