Fight The Good Fight
I really like it, it sounds like a sixties or seventies protest song, which is kind of cool because you see that a lot anymore, and it fits great with the video. I also don't feel like it's the single- but of course, we'll see soon enough
edit: Wow, looking at the share ratio under my name makes me feel like an enormous douchebag, what are your seeding rules, and would you prefer noobs to not download your stuff?

After listening for 2 days, here are my thoughts:
The chorus is pretty good, except for the "fight good fight x 2", which is really bad and feels out of place. Repeating the same thing twice (and more"speaking" it the second time is over rused and seems like he couldn't come up with something better...he did the same thing The End is Where We Begin).
Basic verses are boring. This is OLP's style now though (4 8-count melodies with the same syllables in each melody). I think it needs (and the whole album) different formats for the basic versus.
Overall it's a filler song, clearly. Bridge is forgettable, as are the verses. The first 2/3 of the chorus is the only good part.

Well, we've never really enforced share ratio, if that makes you feel better. A good rule of thumb is to try and upload as much, or at least half of what you downloaded. On the CM, it's best to try and jump on a torrent as soon as you can, though we don't usually do a lot throughout the year, mostly just at Christmas time.

Thanks! I really enjoyed the stuff that I downloaded, btw - the last tour was the first time I saw OLP live, and it was cool to relive it in some form. I'm generally pretty good for seeding (usually at least up to 1, and longer if it's something I had a hard time getting) but I was late getting to the stuff here, so I think everyone who wanted it had mostly already grabbed it. I'll keep the guidelines in mind for future reference though

Yea not digging it here much.
It's too folksy which is fine if your writing a folk song and singing for peace.
But if we're going to FIGHT the good fight and Take back the night and what not I need to be pumped and motivated.
Either give me a big score ala Monkey Brains give me lots of action ala One Man Army. If you don't want all the theatrics then give me some attitude ala One Second Chance or Snake and Crown.
This is too maintstream pop like if Goo Good Dolls or maybe Maroon 5 wrote a protest song.
Sorry, just not feelin it.

I've got about 97% of them

I've got this thorn in my side
I got the boogeyman jive
I know just what to do
We gotta take back the throne
(we"ll) let the kids rock n' Roll
I know just what to do, yeah
and take me home to the place we understand
Where the cold winds blow
and revolution's in the air
and all we know
We're fighting for what we have
Fight the good fight
Fight the good fight
When war is declared
We gotta get back to square
I Know just what to do
Not gonna swallow my pride
or do a jekyll and a hyde
I know just what to do, yeah
and take me home to the place we understand
Where the cold winds blow
and revolution's in the air
and all we know.
We're fighting for what we have

Time to even up the score
We gotta do what's right, right, right, right

Fight the good fight
Fight the good fight
Oh, every once and a while a change has to come
We're raising our hands to the beat of a drum
To the beat of a drum
To the beat of a drum

no offense to the band as i'm sure they rushed through the creation process for this song, and it's really only a quick anthem for the "occupy wall street" thing..... but if this is an official single, then I think it might replace THE END IS WHERE WE BEGIN & WHERE ARE YOU (they are tied) as my least favorite olp single of all time. it's certainly the cheesiest....
it almost sounds like one of those corny pro-canada songs you hear sometimes in commercials. there's absolutely no life in this song, at all.

It's not a single. Raine tweeted the other day that him and Steve were working on a song they think is going to be the first... which means this isn't it.
