More Live Album shows?
Read this interview, and found something interesting and hoping one day it will happen again! I think the Clumsy/SM evening with OLP shows were a huge success and I would love to see more albums done live again!

Matt: Going forward, because of the success of the Clumsy and Spiritual Machines tour, are you going to keep revisiting your classic material when you go back on the road with the new album? Will we hear a mix of the older tracks alongside the new material in your live shows?
Raine: I think it’s an evolving thing now. That tour really showed us what a huge deal it is to go back and dig up these songs and redo them. There has been talk about doing some of the other records in this way, but we’ll have to see where that leads us.
I think it’s going to be tough making set lists this next time that we go out on the road.

I'll be honest - if they cut out all the old material from future shows and only play new-ish stuff (Gravity forward), I will stop going.
Superman's Dead is one of the songs they always play, and maybe they're sick of it, fair enough, but it makes the crowd go wild and it's one of my favorites to see live. So if they stopped doing songs like that, they wouldn't be putting on the shows that their fans are used to.
So I doubt they would stop mixing up the sets with old material along with the new.
I would love to see Naveed done start to finish, but I'm satisfied with only being able to see Spiritual Machines.

I think if I could pick one, I would say Happiness. It has the most songs that I'd love to see played live but haven't. And if I had a second pick (here's a shocker): Gravity. Still not a fan of Innocent, but its other songs that they've played recently sounded fabulous.
In the meantime, they need to play Thief next time they come to LA or Orange County. Come on!

Happiness, Happiness, Happiness... I'd love to see any of them done but I know HIPT and Gravity aren't popular with a lot of people but I'd love to see Happiness done all.

Drop Innocent or Somewhere Out There and add 3 more songs to the setlist and that won't be a problem.

Looking back, Gravity is a pretty awesome album, despite the circumstances. But I voted for Naveed because its so durn awesome.
On antoher note, I wish they would start playing "Whatever" live again!

Innocent and SOT are too big of radio hits to drop off the set. There will always be the casual fan coming to the shows just to hear those songs. I would agree with Josh, over the last 2 years they really have sounded better than in the past. I do agree about adding more songs into the sets for standard, not album tour, non festival shows. During the HIPT tours the sets were 18-22 songs nightly. For the most part, a good representation of all albums except SM.
As for Whatever, I think that one is shelved for life. I always liked it, but the association with Chris Benoit is forever etched into the heads of fans everywhere thanks to 2003 Raine.

I like Gravity! I think the songs sound amazing when done live. I just really wanna hear Potato Girl again because it's my favorite. I'd also like to hear Annie and Stealing Babies... that's why I voted for Happiness.

Yeah, definitely a sore subject.

I'll also give a nod to Gravity, which has really grown on me over the years.
The only reason I would pick Happiness and Naveed over it is....well... because I'd rather hear those two live first. But Gravity is a strong 5th in my favorite OLP albums. I would rather see Gravity live on its own than both HIPT and Burn Burn combined.

I like Whatever alright but thought it was an obvious choice to drop from the setlist or put into light rotation after 2002.
If I were the band I would do a couple things to help with the setlists. First, play at least 19 songs at any given show. Second, put Somewhere Out There, Innocent, Naveed, 4am, One Man Army, Is Anybody Home, In Repair, and Angels/Losing/Sleep into a list and try to play 5 of these each night, maybe add one of the others in the encore or as a 2nd encore if the show is going very well.
Although many of these were successful singles that was quite a while ago and it is probably a very small percentage of attendees who are only coming to the show to see that one song from so long ago.

Why don't they just say the hell with it and play cover songs! It worked for the Smithereens!

I just figure that there couldn't be a significant number of people in 2010 who would go to an OLP show only because they like one specific song (excluding the singles from the album currently being promoted). They're going because they like a recent single, they like the latest album, or they like the band overall.
Speaking of covers, I'd love to hear them play Creep. It would sound awesome.
