What are the most extreme bands you listen to?

By extreme I mean heavy.
So what are the heaviest bands you listen to. It's funny cause a few years after I got into OLP (that was in 2000 - damn, a decade ago!) I started listen to heavy metal, but that didn't last too long. I still listen to some pretty heavy stuff but I'm disgusted by that scandinavian crappy metal I used to listen to. Luckly that phase didn't last long!

So here are some of the heaviest bands I listen to:

Dream Theater
Opeth
Pain Of Salvation
Slipknot
Underoath
Killswitch Engage

Those are my favorite, I'd say.

What about you?

I dunno if some of those bands are that extreme. :P Killswitch Engaged is like Metal Lite. hahaha.

Some of my favorite quality metal is from He Is Legend and The Holly Springs Disaster.

Also been into Misery Signals, The Human Springs Disaster, The Bled, Mendeed, oh and Bring Me The Horizon. And of course Cancer Bats. And Alexisonfire never does wrong. Loving their new album. Oh oh oh and Dethklok. There needs to me more metalocalypse fans in the universe. They may be cartoons but they are heavy as fuck.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire

Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Probably Pearl Jam, Nirvana, or Alice in Chains. Which aren't all too heavy lol.

I don't really like metal though, so..

Yeah I know those aren't too extreme, but I meant that those are pretty much the heavist bands that i REALLY enjoy ;)

I haven't heard of any of those bands you listed apart from Alexisonfire, which I like!

Give He Is Legend a try. Listen to them. Love them.
'Eating a Book' is the song I first heard.
Anyone who appreciates amazing guitars and hardcore riffs and also appreciates writing and literature should love this band. haha.

Five Finger Death Punch. Though a couple tracks off the latest album are pretty freaking soft.

I imagine you'd love "Norma Jean" and "As I Lay Dying" if you like recent Underoath (everything after "They're Only Chasing Safety). I sure do.
