Duncan on the radio today
Listened online to Duncan on WHTZ from St. Catherines. Pretty cool interview...they had him on for 10 mins or so. Said he was building a stack of gear to go on the road with. Also:
- Very excited to get out and play the new material.
- After the last record, band kind of got fed up with each other and took a year break, then came back and lived at Raine's while recording/writing.
- Duncan said Jeremy is the one that is "slow to get going" on the road....DJ had asked who was the messiest in the band.
-Asked him about a tour...Duncan said that it was strictly festivals for the summer coast to coast in canada (he did mention vancouver!!); A week and a half in the US in August and a proper Canadian tour in the mid to late Fall.
Didn't have the proper programs to tape from the net...but Duncan sounded so excited...and for those of you that have spoken to him in the past, you know how genuine he really is. Glad I was able to catch this.

Quick question. Who books OLP at the radio shows. I emailed the PD at the NY station and asked about trying to get OLP there when they do NY. Also mentioned about the new single and cd coming out. Wrote back that they will give the band support when everything comes out..She use to be the PD in Atlanta and gave them alot of support there.
WOO HOO. Finally some support( crosses fingers) in NY
I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

Long interview with Raine...about 13 mins. Didn't talk much at all about Burn, Burn. Although the DJ did say he was listening to the new album last night and loved it. Raine mentioned how they all lived in his house and that he owes Chantal big time for allowing that to happen. lol.
He said the band went back to trusting their instincts with this album and really feels they have come full circle as a band. He also said that Hunters Lullaby really dictated how Burn Burn was made...basically with no producer input. They spent a few minutes talking about house chores when Chantal is away...Raine said she was in Toronto performing, so he would be cooking dinner tonight. It looks like the station puts links up for archived interviews.

They ended by playing the You tube version of the video and wishing Raine well. No mention of a Vancouver show...damn!

I would do anything to have early copies of even a few songs (Dreamland the most!). I don't even bother with clips, they only make the wait worse!
I was so happy when the entire Hunter's Lullaby leaked on Myspace early! I'd pre-pay for the whole CD right now if it meant getting early copies of a few songs!
