You've been here for three months, not one, and yes, you have vented (quite a bit actually, I think that's all I can remember seeing you state on here since you joined) about their change. While yes, you are a new member, I think limiting the venting and actually talking more about what's going on, the state of the music now, what's to come, etc. instead of constantly complaining would be a more productive way of contributing to this board. I know I don't really appreciate hearing all the time how much they've changed and how much that may suck - I'm sure others are pretty tired of it too. I don't remember us actually "venting" this much, even when the last couple of albums came out. Granted, I don't think I was here when Gravity came out, but even HIPT wasn't complained about this much.
Like Matt, I'm not saying this to be mean, I'm just trying to explain why we're all getting a little fed up with the complaining and the wishing they'd go back to their old sound, because it is such old news, it is such an old complaint, and whether you're new or not, there's no reason for post after post about how much they've changed and how much that sucks. Bands change, and everyone knows that. There's not a single band out there that hasn't had an album or two that wasn't popular with their fans, that maybe wasn't up to par with the rest of them, that had a different sound than anything they had done before. It's called experimenting, evolving, and growing. I'm telling you this because I want you to get the most out of this board, and contribute as a friendly happy member, instead of being the person who hates the new OLP sound and has nothing good to say about it, and makes sure everyone knows it every chance you get. That may sound harsh, but it's meant to be constructive criticism.
