Sorry, we got married, got job, got lives, etc.

Well, Nikki is still the same, but we check in every once in while, and even have conversations sometimes!

It's nice to see you back though, please don't disappear for another 3 years.

I was told Stace was back, so I HAD to come and say:

OMG HI!!!! *tacklehugs* I've missed you so much. Glad to hear you're doing well and holy crap the ocean in your backyard must be amazing. You kept coming on the hub when nobody was around, then we'd come back and see your messages and curse and be mad that we missed you.

... oh, and Matt, I am not "still the same". :P Stuff happened darn it!!

Also, a big ol' hi to everyone else I haven't spoken to in forever. Hit me up on AIM (rochyorbust) or MySpace or Facebook or the hub or anywhere. :)

(Holy crap, what happened to my sig while I was gone? The text is ginormous! I'll fix that before I leave.)

Oh totally a Cape Bretoner! And since my dad is from here, I'm blood. Sometimes it's amazing the things you never knew you had ;-)

My backyard: http://besidethesea.ca/house/panorama.jpg

From my little album I put together for some friends:
http://besidethesea.ca/house

And for the explorer types, before you ask, yes I will be starting up/have started up a chocolate shop (I did mention changes in my life right?) mostly it's seasonal at the moment, but I hope to be actually be getting a physical shop together within a year. The site is far from finished, but I'm getting there :P

And Nikki I'm with you, people think you don't have kids (especially as a female) or get married you aren't doing anything :P Phooey on them!

Aye, it's an amazing place. And actually I'm technically in no mans land bewteen the two although I have a N Sydney phone number.

If you know the area, I'm down the street from the Hospital on the water side.

And actually I don't think you've met Pepper, Buster or Socks.

You're thinking of Tigger and Homer. They have both passed on now, but were fantasic cats and dearly loved. They had good lives, and although I still miss them, I had to give a home to some more strays :)

oh yeah.. tigger and homer.. right.. and im sorry to hear about them.. they were indeed great, even if one of em slept on my head.. and the other my feet.. and both were purring at me

anyways.. as for sydney.. i vaguely remember it, we have some family friends who used to live out that way in sydney.. i believe i saw the hospital cuz he worked there but im not 100% positive on that one. i do definitely remember the ferry area tho

i also had a friend of mine who went to school in, i think, n. sydney but that was like.. eons ago that and she moved to halifax

I LOVE your view and your chocolates.

Cape Breton Island is lovely - I went there back in 96ish and there were mooses! I was in NS back in May but didn't have time to make it up there which made me sad - why is Canada all so spread out :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

werent we talking about trying to figure out a way for you to get there sooz?

i remember one time.. my dad and were talkin and for whatever reason determined going through the highlands and the park on our way to halifax would only add "a few hours" to our trip but would be significantly more scenic even tho it was winter... well its a bloody damn good thing our van had 4wd and we all missed school/work the next day given we arrived at home at like.. 3 or 4 am and had to be up for 7 lol

the total trip took some 11 or so hours i believe it was, something obscene like that.. we were going through and enjoying the view and a snow storm hit.. so we made our way through and figured it was localized and we'd be fine once we got back on the mainland.. yeah, uh. no. not remotely close even.. the drive from like.. antigonish (ish) to halifax was at a snails pace haha
go fuck yourself.

Yeah there are plenty of times theres a storm that takes out cuaseway access. For those of you that aren't familiar with the area, the causeway is basically a bridge (but it's built up land) that connects the island to the mainland. When the waves get too high, you can't go on it because well, you car will get washed away :P

No causeway = stuck on the island!

There's the Sydney airport, but if the weather is that bad, you probably wont like that option either.

Hey Stace welcome back. I have been asking for the longest what ever happened to you? Glad to hear you are doing ok..

Sometimes a change of scenery can do wonders for one's mindset. Close family like friends of mine moved to Hawaii(Oahu) about 4 years ago. They do practically have the Pacific in their yard. It is across the street..I try to get down there once a year. My goal is to live near the ocean or mountains. Right now I am not too far from a river. .

That photo is amazing.

As for the marriage and kids thing. It is people putting their perception of life onto you. Not everyone can have kids or finds the right partner. Besides it seems everyday I am reading another baby found dead at the hands of their guardian. It breaks my heart to no end. Besides that you are still very young and can still accomplish that if that is what you want. I hate how people seem to put time limits on things ..

I am going to end on this note. Enjoy your life while you can. Forget whatever one else thinks your life should or should not be. You are the one living it. Live and let live.

glad you came by..

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again
