Boxing Training Video

Postby Lando » 1/27/2008, 5:45 am

So a certain guy I know had a boxing match recently. We decided to do a training montage for him, a throwback to old boxing movies like Rocky as well as 1980's movie montages. So here it is, check it out yo.

100 bonus points for you if that's GimmeShelter Joe in the video.

Interesting satire in the video. I laughed out loud when he is punching the dead deer/dog/sheep/billy goat body in the warehouse. I also laughed when he pissed off the top of the fire escape. There were some weak spots but overall not too bad. I'd give it 7 out of 10.

We had to stretch if out to fit the two songs because we didn't want to cut them, which is why there are a few slower parts, but hey, you get to listen to a song from the Karate Kid soundtrack and you get to listen to Live To Win by Paul Stanley!

Because it was easy and quick and we knew it would be funny to show before his fight. The guy in the Hello Kitty shirt is the guy he boxed against.

Also Matt, it is mr. shelter himself.

If any of you have youtube accounts, please rate the video with the STARS, i think having a good rating helps a video to get seen more on random playlists and browsing.

(I want to see how many legit views it'll get other than the same people watching it a bunch of times haha)

100 bonus points for Lando, and 50 to Joe for pissing off the top of a fire escape.

The video lost one bit of comedic value when put on youtube though, because when shown on a tv, you can't tell when the ending is, so a lot of people thought when the first song ends, he's going up some stairs like the end of the Rocky montage (only he pees, because it's more classy)... so they all thought that was the ending, but on youtube you can see the video's only half over with the little slider/progress bar, so it's not a surprise when the next song starts and the video continues.
