nah, not cold and lordly enough. too "haha i'm surrounded by death eaters and i'm going to kill harry potter whee!" for me. although he showed the evil in voldemort and the snakey hissy voice pretty good.

if only fiennes had done voldemort right...but that's just my own opinion. whatever you hear, the movie's definitely worth seeing

I suspected that was him but I wasn't sure! I thought he did a good job though.

oh, he was very good, i agree. he just could've been better. i don't know, i think mostly why i'm not too crazy about his voldemort is because i had a certain idea of what voldemort would be like in my head, but the movie voldemort was not at all what i expected, so watching him really threw me off. i had to sit there and try to comprehend the terror of that final scene and get used to this new voldemort at the same time. really mind boggling.

he looks pretty darn cool. there aren't pictures of him up yet, but he's got gray skin and no nose but snake like slits for nostrils and he doesn't have red eyes but that's okay. in terms of looks, he's the perfect voldemort.

The director of this one REALLY SUCKS. The movie was pretty good, although far more flawed than I wanted to see... considering so much had to be cut from the book. But it was just the direction, seriously Mike Newell has never been a good director. He's had good films with good screenwriters to work on, but his direction, his visual placement is horrible.

I still liked the movie, but not as much as others. Another thing that bugs me is how everyone is so cool with saying Voldemort now. It's like "Oh yeah! That Voldemort dude! He was one bad ass MOFO!"

Instead of everyone fearing the guy or even looking a little creeped out, they're all like "LETS SEE HOW MANY TIMES WE CAN SAY HIS NAME!"

I'm surprised they didn't start chanting his name in unison. If they did, I'd have definitely known it was Mike Newell's idea.

Also, the guy's never heard of a wide angle lense... How the hell did he get his job?

Really? I thought the direction was far superior to any of the previous HP movies.

But if all of them before this sucked tremendously then this one only has mediocre suckage, it would by comparison look superior. Don't let this fool you. it still sucks.

I hate that they've whored out Harry Potter. :(

yeah, i agree. the majority of this movie is action, which i thought was really well done. that said, i think i'll have to watch this movie again to really decide which one's my favorite: goblet of fire or prisoner of azkaban. which is kinda odd because the fourth book is my favorite.

Bah. The movies will never ever compare to the books, 'nuff said. Once I have that in my head, I'm ok to watch the movies.

bah .. so i've only been able to see the last hour and 20 minutes of the film so far .. basically from the ball on .. i think it's bloody brilliant (god i love ron) from what i've been able to see so far. i've loved every hp movie so far though .. i'm absolutely DYING to see the first hour .. ugh .. i can't find it on limewire.

:(

i've watched the 2nd part like 3 times though.

i actually got a little teary at the end when harry didn't want to let go of cedric's body ...

i went back and watched the first 3 movies too..

there's a page up at imdb for the next movie .. it has dan, rupert and emma down as returning but i don't know if that's set in stone though .. i hope so. it would suck if one of the kids decides they don't want to do anymore .. although apparently tom (draco) won't be returning .. he was such a good draco too. :(

and the director of the 5th movie will be: David Yates
