And in the end what I think what I really need to do is just get some recording equiptment together and fucking try. And find some coffee houses. Start getting out there. Doing covers at first. Then, if I start writing, I can start adding my own material. And maybe I can even get a paying gig or two. But that doesn't matter. The experience is pay enough if it will help me get through this bullshit accident we call life.

Edit: An afterthought left unseen by a pagebabie. Seems about right.

I've also realized recently that I don't laugh nearly enough. Not nearly as much as I used to.

People call it the "real world", where you work hard and life sucks and you just have to live with it.

But I think that if we only have this one life, this one chance, that has got to be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Why settle? Why the hell do we always settle?!

And why can't I make myself listen to my own words?

You know what you should do?
Take a nap.

Thats what any respectable college student would do when they have over an hour to waste.

Find a bench. Bookbag pillow. Take a nap.
and try not to sing in your sleep.

Goodbye you liar,
Well you sipped from the cup but you don't own up to anything
Then you think you will inspire
Take apart your head
(and I wish I could inspire)
Take apart your demons, then you add it to the list.

Not for me... Classes were cancelled during only a 1-hour block for Rememberance Day.

Also, I just found this:

http://www.metalworksinstitute.com/welcome/welcome.aspx

Which looks much more promising than anything SLC could offer.

I might have to look into this stuff more. Or not, I don't know.

P.S. OLP was mentioned as being affiliated with that studio, which gives it +5 cool points.

Bassist, or guy who scrubs the mudflaps on my tour bus... I'll find something for you.

But yeah. If/when I get my act together, you're definately in the picture, if you'd still like to be. Sure, an ape can play bass (A FUCKING APE), but not nearly as well as you can. :heythere:

i say you go for it. i know a lot of the local bands around here, and many of them are doing really well. it may be hard to start up, but that's the same with anything you want to do. my friend's band just recently got signed..and they only started up a few years ago. if music is your passion, don't let anything hold you from it.

I might do this.

I might.

I have to try writing some stuff and recording some stuff first.

And we'll see.

If all else fails, I might end up going into music production anyways.

I'd just hate to give up on university like that. There are some things that I actually enjoy. But what the hell can I do with (a) degree(s) in Psychology and/or Philosophy? :uhh:

The reason I'm even considering any of this is because of the ecstatic happiness I feel when I have a guitar in my hands. I don't fully understand it. But it's right.

Then again, I also get excited about philosophical theories and ideas. So who knows?
