Has anyone else heard of Dakona? Their sound is somewhat like OLP's, they're from around Vancouver. They're tied for my favorite band (with OLP, of course).

Never heard of them but if they sound like OLP I'd like to hear them. Have an album you could send me. Or upload to the FTP?

Nothing would make me prouder than to have little teenyboppers singing along to OLP songs.</font color="red"></b>

When you say OLP, you have to specify which era of OLP.

If they sound like the Happiness and Spiritual Machines era, I'll be interested in them. I've never heard of them though, and I live in Richmond, are they one of the bands in "Last band standing"? From what I know, a lot of the bands there sound really similar, Pepper Sans sounds like Crowned King, imo.
Al's emails put a smile on my face, even though all they say is "You've got a private message!"

If they are half as good as the Naveed stuff, I'll give em a shot!

More stuff on Dakona:

No, they aren't one of the bands on Last Band Standing, but Stabilo Boss is really good too. Dakona were signed with Maverik already when that contest started. Their next CD is supposed to be out in March (I think). They're other CDs you would probably have trouble finding because there aren't that many of them and they're only really well known in the towns the band members came from. Also, I only have two of their songs on my comp right now, if you are wanting more then you'll have to wait untill after July 1st, when I have some time. In closing: I won't be on msn at all for probably the next three days (I'll be white-water rafting), but after that I'll try to be on a fair bit.

And though the hum and sway gets me down
