I think that the title changed because Vampires didn't fit in with the songs that are going to be on the album.

Dude, you need to like, settle down.

Vampires was the final song to be cut from the album. The cd Duncan had was the finished album prior to the band changing the chorus and title of one song. We saw the man stand there and count out 13 songs that would be on the album. As for it not playing, I have no idea why it wouldn't. We weren't allowed to place it in any of the laptops for obvious reasons. Again, it's not that we are rubbing what we were told in anyone's face. I would believe something that Duncan says over Taggart or Raine. I just don't think he is the kind of guy to tell us some shit to keep us happy. If the next album that comes out is a double album, I'll gladly say I was wrong, and post it on the intro page to this website. If you want to bask in some more speculation on things that will probably not be, then by all means read the previous 3 or 4 pages of this forum, and then head on over to sm.net to pick up there. Until then, you need to lighten up, Corey.

Not a single one of us that went to the meetup has been trying to rub it into anyone's faces. We've been trying to pass all the information that Duncan gave us along to everyone else. Plain and simple.

Would you rather he told us all this stuff, then we not told any of you any of it? Because we could have just kept it to ourselves. But we didn't. We wanted to share.

Notice how several people in this thread weren't even aware that Duncan brought along a finished copy of the album, or that he played unreleased OLP from his iPod for us. We haven't been bragging about that or anything because it wouldn't be nice.

Sure, we might talk about Duncan coming to the meetup a bunch, but what else are we gonna talk about that's OLP related? There's only so much we can say about Marie's short post on the CC. Duncan told us a wealth of information, and we thought others would want to hear it.

Not to mention I'm sure everyone agrees with me that it was wicked awesome that Duncan took the time out of his day to come visit us.

Apparently you'd rather be left out in the dark with your dreams of what COULD be (but won't) than hearing what was told to us by a band member that's not exactly known for running his mouth about things that aren't set in stone yet (sorry Jer ).

That's fine. If you'd rather talk about OLP possibilities instead of OLP facts, I have another forum you should go post on:

http://www.spiritualmachines.net

Enjoy.

We really do appreciate that Nikki, I mean I missed Duncan by maybe 3 hours and you would think that I'd be beating myself up about it, but you handled it perfectly.

We would've known by now if it was a double album or not. System of a Down, Bright Eyes, Foo Fighters. System of a Down is releasing two albums this year, and people have known about that since last year, even though the second album is still probably six months away from being released. Bright Eyes released two albums at the same time, and people knew about that well before they came out. Foo Fighters are releasing a double album next month, and everyone knew it was going to be a double album when they were recording it last year. You don't just "surprise" people with a double album, or essentially "two albums that could be considered a double release anyway." You let people know what you're doing, because double albums can be a risky undertaking, and you don't just throw it at the public.

P.S. And no, I'm not ignoring the meetup people saying that it's not going to be. I'm just saying the idea isn't plausible even if they didn't meet up with anyone.

That what I'm trying to say Dread but they can't get that through their minds.

by any angle that i see it, it sounds more like you're saying "i hear what duncan told you but i'm going to keep hoping it turns out not to be true, anyway"

until any further news, i personally prefer to believe what duncan told the people at the meetup. it's better than wallowing around in "maybe"s. and about duncan being only one person, how many other band members and producers are rushing to line up and tell us news about the album?

Corey wrote:I think it has been established that there is no set release date. I bet before the release date of Clumsy they thought Home and Trapeze would make the album. Guess what happened? You talked to ONE band member. There still are 3 other band members, a producer, and their LABEL who get to decide what ends up on the album. Who says what Duncan "knew" was set in stone. He brought over a finished album (that wouldn't play?). Oh alright. The point is, people who talked to Duncan are just dismissing what anyone has to say like they have privileged information. If that's the case, why bother having a message board? Just turn this into a news board like ourladypeace.cc. Things can still change until I see an Official official CD in stores. Not some hack that Duncan supposedly had. I mean, what happened to the title "Vampires". All of a sudden it is "Healthy in Paranoid Times"?

I'm not saying that it won't be true. I'm not getting my hopes up or anything. It just that the album isn't out yet and its finished (Duncun had the CD in his hand. that what you guys said.) Also, there can be a possibility they could of change their minds. They probably won't, but I think since it is coming out in Augest, and its done they might be looking to add 1 or 2 more tracks you never know. Plus, if the album is done why don't they put it out soon instead waiting till Augest?

because there is marketing to be done, as well as making sure that it is released at a specific date to ensure maximum profits. After waiting this long for an album, I highly doubt a couple more months is going to hurt you.

I just talked to Sol, he says it's going to be a Triple Album and he sings on 6 of the tracks. Also there are semi-nude photos of him posing as famous Superheroes such as Powder Toast Man featured in the CD insert.

Queens Of The Stone Age-Someone's In The Wolf

Once you're lost in twillights's blue
You don't find your way, the way finds you...

Tempt the fates, beware the smile
It hides all the teeth, my dear,
What's behind them...

So glad you could stay
Forever

He steps between the trees, a crooked man
There's blood on the blade
Don't take his hand

You warm by the firelight, in twilight's blue
Shadows creep & dance the walls
He's creeping too..

So glad you could stay
Forever
