Advertising on Police Cars. I sent the song to my best friend yesterday afternoon and she was like "This song is really long. It's like 7 min.". I'm like "Who cares its pretty!"

I love Advertising. Everything about it is brilliant, especially the lyrics:

Hey Mr Chips,
How's the wife,
And are the kids still poison,
Do you still eat them.

Very chilling indeed, and the way the music escalates compliments it perfectly.

Interesting fact - the entire song was recorded on keyboards.

MGB rocks....

I was at the concert they played at Wonderland, and they burned a Scooby Doo doll. As the sacrificial stuffed animal. But because we were at Wonderland, and scooby doo is sort of a theme around the place, it was a bold move, and it made it even more hilarious.

MG's Book is very good as well, has anyone read it?

I'm a fan of Matthew Good Band. I have "Beautiful Midnight" and "Audio Of Being". I kind of stumbled upon the U.S. version of "Midnight" after remembering a Canadian friend of mine talking about them previously. I automatically fell in love with that CD the first time I heard it, and it was in my Top 5 for that year (it may have been #2). I have never really gotten into "Audio Of Being", but I think it's pretty good...

I like Apparations.. it just doesn't strike me as amazing or anything..
My favorite songs that I've heard are: Tripoli, Advertising, Fall of Man, and Antipop. I haven't heard much though. I hope to buy Audio of Being.

What? Do you mean Look Happy It's The End Of The World? Or is there some MGB song utterly unknown to me?

That song rocked live! I gave my first time to Matt Good! I could never forget that night, Matt, he was so sweet.....

Anyway, my favourite song, very favourite would be Running For Home, at first I didn't understand it, but then I found countless ways of interpreting it. Most of MG's songs have a really obscure meaning in it, unlike *cough*the new OLP*cough*.
Al's emails put a smile on my face, even though all they say is "You've got a private message!"

I think Matt Good is the best lyricist there is in my opinion. His songs can be taken so many ways. Some of the songs are so obscure I cant even figure out the meanings
