Janes Addiction - Strays

wow, this album really grew on me. This CD is so good, Perry Ferrel And Dave Navarro rule. The best part is not only is it alternative and aggressive at times, but they always manage to keep it light and fun, this is truely just a band having a great time together.

Not to mention Janes Addiction is legendary, they're the ban dthat made teh term alternative popular back in 89'
"How can we justify spending so much on destruction and so little on life?" Matthew Good

"The white dove is gone, the one world has come down hard, so why not share the pain of our problems, when all around are wrong ways, when all around is hurt, i'll roll up in an odd shape and wait, untill the tide has turned.....with anger, i'm dead weight, i'm anchored"- IME, God Rocket (Into the Heart of Las Vegas) ^ Some say this song is about a terrorists thoughts before 911

"Pray for the sheep" Matt Good
"But it's alright, take the world and make it yours again" Matt Good

I felt it in the wind, and i saw it in the sky, i thought it was the end, i thought it was the 4th of July.

Just got the limited edition 2CD edition of "Spiders" from the band Space off ebay for $6.99 after shipping. Does anyone remember the song "Female of the Species"? They used to play it quite a bit on a Philly modern rock station a while back (I don't remember if it was Y100 or WDRE) and I haven't heard it (or even thought about it) for like 5 years. Then, there I am at school today and it gets stuck in my head...now, understand, I didn't hear anyone playing it and wasn't haveing a conversation about it or anything...just popped into my head, still have no clue how or why. Anyway, I didn't remember the name of the band, so I went on the internet there at school to do some "research" (lol) and found out that it was Space. Then I went to amazon.com and a couple other places only to find that it's out of print. Ebay came in quite handy at that point

In-store shows are expensive. Sure the concert is free, but while waiting you go through the racks and find all these reasonably priced awesome albums. I picked up:

Stereophonics - Word Gets Around and a couple of singles
Supergrass - Life On Other Planets
Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, and
Travis - The Man Who

They had lots more, but I couldn't afford to buy more.
And because the in-store gig from I Am Kloot was pretty impressive I want their albums as well. Thank god, the holidays (including my birthday) are coming up.

Fuel - Natural Selection I actually got it for free.. At my school, when they take Cd's out of the listening post to put in new ones, they usually give them away.

Go buy this now. I mean it.

The newest Koufax cd is called Social Life. Honestly, that cd is the best musical purchase I made in the past 12 months. The best one. Hands down. You will fall in love with every song, with maybe the exclusion of "So Put On" That one drags.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

And get this, Black Sails In The Sunset came with two copies of the album in the jewel case. :freak:
Just because I am sexy, naked, a bassist, and sporting a top hat doesn't make me Duncan Coutts!

Jawbreaker - Bivouac
Jawbreaker - 24 Hour Revenge Therapy
Jawbreaker - Ect.

I like Jawbreaker, and they'd like me too if they were still a band.
