What Artist/Band Would You Like To See OLP Do A Song With?

Post by Baby Thief »

This has probably been done, but i can't find it anywhere.

Anyways, like the title says. If OLP were to do a new song featuring another band or artist, who would it be?

Personally, I think either Radiohead, Matthew Good, or Incubus would be spectacular! If I had to choose one, it would be Matthew Good (haha, yeah, like that will ever happen) I think Raine and Good's voices and creativity combined would just makes something very special. I mean, ofcourse I wouldn't want it to be up to the standard of these newer songs. I could see it being like something off of Happiness. OR if they combined one of their songs, like... Appiritions and Thief.

Our Lady Peace and Chris Cornell would be great.

Raine is a big fan of Soundgarden, so I think he would have no objection...

I think she means do a song together...

In which case I don't think they'd do one with anyone. They never have before (other than Elvin Jones but he's certain;y not a mainstream icon)

The only person I could even slightly imagine them do a song with is Chantal, only because of Raine, and the fact that the two of them have done songs together.

hm. i can't actually see them doing a collaboration for a cd...maybe for something special that's warchild related or like that, though.

for some reason..i can semi picture jimmy cuddy (blue rodeo), gord downie (the hip) and raine up on a stage all singing together. jim and gord really make me think of what raine's going to be like when he's older..their voices and appearance just seem so...old rainish.
that would be neat to see them all do something. three respected canadian bands doing something..
now, which band would be there playing music, i have no clue..maybe an amalgamation of all three.

geez, my idea of a collaboration has turned into a giant musical mess. may as well throw in bnl, matt good, jann arden, and every other prominent canadian musician for good measure.

so, to sum this all up - the only way i'd like to see them doing a collaboration is with another canadian band for some sort of cause.

In reality, I don't see them collaborating with anyone anytime soon. They're just... not that kind of band, you know? But hey, this isn't about reality, this is about what we'd like to see.

I'd love it if they made a song with Matt Good. Two of my favourite singers together, I'm sure they could do something really awesome.

I remember hearing about something in the early stages of the recording for gravity, that the guys were gonna get the lead singer from POD to do a collaboration and then Raine would also do a song with POD....but their schedules didnt work out....i wonder what that would have sounded like????
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I can see POD in with OLP (for some reason) but not the other way around.
I don't that that sorta colaboration would have ended up on the album anyway.

If I had to pick a band I think I would say IME.
Not only do they have history, I think they would work well together.

POD?

I couldn't see it work. It would have been interesting to say the least, but i doubt it would have worked.

I'd love to see OLP and Matt Good do a collaboration, even though that would obviously never happen. OLP and Gord Downie would be a bit more realistic.

Yeah, both MGB and OLP are my favorite bands of all time. They both have such amazing songs that you can sing along to and relate to on a deep basis. I would die to hear OLP cover an MGB song... like... *thinks*

aaaahhhh, the rat who would be king.

damn, what i would do to hear Raine singing the chorus to that song. Just imagine that.

Holy Shit. I never thought of U2.

I did come up with the ultimate though. In fantasy land it would have to be with John Lennon. That would be fucking orgasmic.
