I don't think it's all about audio recordings, I don't really believe that they make him sound worse. I think there are some pretty decent bootlegs out there, that shows everyone what he's capable of doing, which means sing well, as well as screwing up live.
I've heard versions of Stealing Babies, Hope, One Man Army that he was singing quite bad...
So I think it happens.
Just wanted to check if I was the only onenow I think I'm in the minority
Cheers.
I know exactly where you're coming from and agree completely.
I don't think he's one of those naturally great singers, he's just got a good voice and learned to hit the right notes in the studio, and occasionally live.
Some vocalists, like Michael Stipe or Maynard James Keenan, I've never heard sound bad, live or not.

I agree 100% with what you mean

Cheers.
Have you heard Raine's voice in Not Afraid? Ugh. He cannot scream live (ie. AFY chorus, Naveed, Not enough chorus, somewhere out there chorus, second innocent verse, story bout a girl, life) ugh, remember summersault? gross! Raine can't sing live. It's okay because you can't tell unless you listen to a recording. I think the only time i've heard him sing live and really enjoyed it (a recording) has been this germany show that has popped up. It's with like AFY, DYLI, SD, Whatever, SOT. I think those are it, but it was fantastic. He actually sounded fairly ok!
Don't ask questions, just accept it.
