I dont respect the fact that theyre usually always drunk for their shows. Any band who was very serious about theyre music would prioritize their performance over getting drunk. And it does make a difference. The first time I saw them (they were sober), they were absolutely incredible. The last time, when they were drinking, they were just average. Not horrible, but nothing compared to the first time. I just dont think its smart for a band to go and get plastered before performing and it's a sign of a band that wont be together for very long. Drinking shouldnt be more important than their music. And from what I read, its not just a once-in-a-while thing. But whatever, they still rock.

Well, at Villanova, I don't think they were drunk during their performance, but I could be wrong. It just didn't seem like they were. I dunno, anyone else that was there? Do you guys think they were drunk during?

Oh, and Melissa, saying he was "really drunk" is an understatement. Hahaha. He was plastered and then some. It's too bad, too. He was such a nice guy before the show when he was talking with Jeremy. Although, I must admit, his whole "I LOVE THIS GUY!" thing was pretty funny to watch. To everyone else that might care: a few of Greenwheel's members walked by us after the show, and Ryan was hanging on another member pointing at him yelling, you guessed it, "I LOVE THIS GUY!!!" I was just like: "Wow. :wtf: He's really drunk." Hah.

Anyway, I agree. Getting drunk before a performance definitely shows a lack of respect for your own music. Sad, really.

I'm not saying its everytime, but at Villanova they were. Ryan also writes about it all the time in their online journal on their website.

I still don't know how they're gonna fit on the stage at the Pontiac. Hahah, they've got pretty big equipment... and that stage is microscopic. Burn Kate barely fit with their little amps. Hahah, well, if nothing else, it'll be humorous to watch them try not to fall off.

Oh yeah, and Melissa, you know what I realized? I wanna buy Soma Holiday before we go. Cos I want to get it signed. So, I ripped those mp3s for nothing. Haha. Oh well. Actually, no... maybe not. We should go to South Street early that day, and I can buy it on the way to the concert. I'm sure Tower's got it, and if they don't Repo or one of the other independant stores probably does. And if not, they've GOT to be selling merch at the show. Hahah. *is smrt* So, yeah, I'll listen to the mp3s until then.

That's gonna be a great week. *sigh*

Ok since i just got back from Greenwheel's awesome show i'm bringing back their thread. They were excellent and weren't drunk which was nice. We actually got there before they did and were first in line so we got front row which to the Pontiac is right on the stage  Got pictures with all of them and Autographs and hugs from Ryan and Andy. They played really well and there were a whole bunch of people there. And we definetley made sure they knew we were coming to Rochester (not that they'll remember) They were giving out Greenwheel postcards and i bought a beanie and long sleeve shirt. No hoodies still thuogh. Hopefully they have one on Friday. And their opening band Revis was really good and nice guys as well. One of our local bands Stutter played too and i have no respect for those guys. First they come out calling GW egotistical idiots cause they wanted to leave their stuff on the stage so it wouldn't take up so much time setting up (it took they 40 minutes to set up) and then the drummer spit into the crowd. Now being that i was that close ,Ryan spit on me and so did the one guitarist from Revis but they didn't do it on purpose. Anyways, great cocnert. Can't wait for my pictures to get developed. And can't wait for Friday

Not drunk is always a good thing. I love them - they were really good when I saw them open for OLP in Toledo last July. I need to learn more of their songs. :)
