You must have seen him on a bad day. He was really great when I saw him he made me all happy and jumping aroundy even though I'd only had about an hour's sleep!
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

You know the old saying be careful what you wish for. Well my wish came true. Every Year, Central park has a big concert for Canada Day celebrations. They usually get some lesser known Canadian artist to play. I told my friend it would be really cool if they could get someone like Sam Roberts this year. I just saw he is playing Central Park on June 27th.

Wishes do come true. That has to be the Canada Day show. I can't wait .

Now if only we can get someone like Matt Good, The Tea Party or Daivd Usher :)

I feel love, I feel a power. It comes to me in the darkest hour. And I want to feel it again

I thought I would revive this thread because I saw Sam and his band live last night and they were awesome. Has anyone seen "mind flood" from the new cd live yet? It's fucking amazing. Oh, and what do you guys think of the Chemical City CD? I think it's really good and I think it flows more and fits together more as an album than We Were Born in a Flame did.

I prefer We Were Born In A Flame still, but Chemical City is a good album.

I know he's coming to Halifax sometimes soon, and I've been debating whether to see him or not. Should I?

Oh yeah, look for Sam on K-OS's new record (again). Him and Kevin Drew of BSS help him out on a song.
