Foo Fighters

Post by Axtech »

I'm surprised there isn't already a Foo Fighters thread here.

I was never really a big fan of FF. I only had one album, The Colour and the Shape. I hadn't listened to it in a couple of years. I popped it in last week, and fell in love. I just went out and bought There's Nothing Left To Lose and One By One. I still have yet to get The Foo Fighters, but that'll come soon enough.

I do have one question, though...

Who is/was in the band on each album? There's Nothing Left To Lose doesn't give the member's names. And The Colour and the Shape has a couple of different names than One By One.

Foos on July 8th
I met Dave Grohl last October

The first lineup was Dave, Pat , William and Nate. Pat was then replaced by Franz. Then Franz was replaced by Chris i think in 1999 or something like that. William left the band during the recording of The Colour and The Shape and then Taylor came. So i guess then There's Nothing Left To Lose had Dave, Chris, Taylor and Nate. I think that's right.

The Foo Fighters are awesome.......I've been a fan since the first cd. That "Footos" video mocking Mentos still cracks me the hell up.

 I love that video.

Does anyone know why there's two Times Like These videos? I was downloading Foos videos, and one of the Times Like These videos was the one with the bridge, which I'd seen on TV, but the other was just the band in front of a weird changing background...

It wouldn't surprise me if people bitched b/c the bridge one seems violent w/ stuff collapsing behind them, so they probably did another one to be "safe"

Like Incubus' first "Wish U Were Here" video was so bad and they changed that one.

Eh, I'm not a big fan, except for a few songs like Everlong and Walking After You. They just seem rather boring to me.

seeing them on june 1.

one of eight concerts i'm going to in june. holy shit.
we are the brand new beatniks. we are the down and outers.
we are the bleeding hearts, beating syncopated, broken rhythm.
our speed is often break neck. we need to slow it down.
tired of being sleepless. tired of being broken.

I live in mississauga so it all works out for me. But the amphitheater would have been a better venue.
