LOL, Clear Channel's complete list of inappropriate songs.

General Music area.
Did punk rock get it right?

*raises hand* I saw Ground Zero when I went to New York. My parents were all "OMG, that's mind boggling." and I was just like "...Can we go now?". Hell... you could right down the street from the apartment building we stayed at and be right there.

I don't think I'm being insensitive, either.

I think that you should only dwell on something for so long, and not drive yourself insane over it by being paranoid and grieving. Yes, grieve. It's part of the process. But if you can't move on...

I seriously think that the list of banned songs is totally rediculous.

I have friends who saw Ground Zero and they thought it was the most disturbing thing they've ever seen .. the smell, the deathly quiet .. obviously it's not good to dwell on it but it's not easy to get over something like that either .. it's easy to say "move on" to someone but when you haven't experienced it, it's a whole different story

Didn't seem quiet to me, with cranes and jackhammers.

I saw the big sphere in Battery Park and thought it was utterly beautiful, but I...tend to find beauty in disturbing things.

My friends went when the work was done .. a once busy street and area that's the centre of the city turned into a hole with not a sound is a little disturbing .. people were even whispering ..

Hmmm...

I thought it was surreal...And that's it... I wanted to get out of there, I was hot and overwhelmed with people saying "OMG, mind boggling!" or "amazing!". Meh

I know what happened was terrible, and I am not denying that, at all. But honestly, this country has become so uptight and such a bitch since one horrible day happened. It's not going to happen again. The terrorists who wanted to send a message sent the message, and now all that will happen is people threatening doom upon the US just to cause a news frenzy. I don't mean to sound insensitive here or anything, but 9-11 shouldn't be spoken about as much as it is. All that's changed in the country is now people are given power to harass anyone they please, and be absolved of any actions because they claim "national security issues." I know how this goes. When I was coming back from Rochester, NY, and came to the Canada/Michigan bridge in Port Huron, I was made to wait for 20 minutes while this guy checked up to see if I was truly American, then made me pull over to have our stuff inspected. We weren't given a reason, just sent off to a section to sit and wait for some one to look through our stuff to see if we were smuggling anything. This has never happened to me until after 9-11, because some one is given power to do as he pleases.

I don't blame them for being a bit more cautious at the borders .. that's to be expected .. they're doing it cuz that airport slipped up with their security and people don't feel safe now .. a little extra time waiting is worth it if it makes people feel safer ..

A Middle Eastern man told one of my brother's friends to "take a hint and not drink Pepsi after September 14th." It's all just getting a bit tiresome.

That was not meant to be racist in the slightest bit, either.

I can tell you I didn't feel the least bit worried the day after it happened, because I knew it was a one time thing. And I sure as hell don't feel more secure after I get singled out for not looking American enough, and having to have my records checked at the boarder, and being made to wait while my stuff is being looked through. I just hope the boarder shit isn't always like that, because if it is, I won't be goin to Windsor to get shit faced, because everytime I wanna go back to Michigan I have to wait for an hour because I am not American looking enough, or a prime suspect to be treated like shit at the boarder.

I understand what you're getting at. All this has become is a reason for people to get in the news and scare gullible people.

My family and I go to canada quite frequently, and we've never gotten pulled over for inspection...why? Because the guy at the border sees that there are two middle aged adults in the car and two kids. He automatically knows that we don't fit any image for inspection.

Now...four teenagers crossing the border, the guy automatically thinks that they went to canada to drink, party, etc. So, what does he do? Pull you over.

It's all part of the stereotyping of teenagers. I hate that so much.

you know what i think is ridiculous? the fact that so many people got sucked in by that list. it's bullshit. it's a joke. it doesn't truly exist. it's just the usual corporate smear put out via the internet. it's no more reality then that episode of oprah where tommy hilifiger says "nigger".

moving on

OLPFan420 - yes, it will happen again. your government cannot protect you from "terrorists" because they are the terrorists. i am guaranteeing you right now beyond a shadow of a doubt that more innocent people are going to die is a "terrorist" attack in the coming 4 years so your elected government can gain more power.

the function of the government is to protect. obviously, it is not accomplishing this, and yet, the sheeple continue to vote, pay taxes etc.

fuck. remember, when bushie builds his concentration camps for arab americans, annexes canada and takes over the fucking world, you did this to yourselves. pray for saddam.

Innocent people die everyday from these terrorist attacks .. just in lesser known countries so people don't give a fuck until it happens to them :| Unfair, but society is selfish ..

I'm surprised that song "Hey Hey (I Like To Fly Airplanes Into Buildings)" wasn't on that list, weird eh?

I think the whole banning is bullshit. By banning songs, they are basically trying to make people ignore 9-11. I don't think that by banning songs they can accomplish this. People obviously won't ignore 9-11, and by banning songs they are just going to piss people off.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?

In a way, if Gore was elected president, I don't see this whole terrorist attack even happening primetimefool. I think the Arab countries felt intimidated that Bush's cabinet was full of people who spent the Bush Sr. term trying to kill Saddam Hussein and wrecking Arab countries in the process. Gore would not have had any of those people in the cabinet, would have had the same policies with those countries overseas, and would have ran the country like Clinton did, which kept our people alive. I am speculating what happened, so don't tell me I am wrong, but I feel those terrorists wouldn't have been sparked to kill Great Satan unless provoked. Maybe if Bush would have picked a different cabinet and wasn't so damn inept, 9-11 might not have happened. But as soon as a Democrat gets back in office in 2004 (because Bush certainly won't win), I see the terrorist worries dying down, until some one like Jeb Bush gets in office and makes his cabinet loaded with people who tried to kill Bin Laden and destroyed innocent countries and killed innocent peoplpe.
