Drowning Pool Singer Found Dead

General Music area.
Did punk rock get it right?

Postby NunoFreak » 8/15/2002, 4:44 pm

So Clumsyfish, what you're saying is that a band can't be great unless you have heard of them? That's what you said in your most recent reply. I didn't know band's were dubbed great by you, but thanks for letting me know. You worship Travis Barker, a third rate punk drummer, so you have no right to say what's great and what's not. I like Blink 182, but I just wanted to mouth off about your asinine comment. For the record, Drowning Pool's one and only album "Sinner" has sold 1.2 million copies. That is more than any single album from Our Lady Peace (in the U.S.). Sure you didn't say anything about OLP in regards to Drowning Pool, but you are posting on an OLP website saying how a band isn't that big or important, when they have out-sold the band on whom's website you posted that on. Did that make sense? Ah forget it...

P.S. - I only come off as an asshole because a.) I'm right and b.) I'm better than you. Perception is in the eye of the beholder, but greatness is in the mind.

Talk about blowing things out of proportion and looking for an arguement. Don't put words in my mouth which is what your entire post consisted of. Yes I like Travis, worship him, no but I do think he's talented, end of discussion there. I also did not say anything about Drowning Pool not being big or important, I simply said that if they were as great as you're making them out to be, you'd THINK I would have seen something about them or heard more of them. Considering you're the only person on this thread who gives a damn about this band, I'm not too concerned with my lack of knowledge on their record sales

p.s you THINK you're superior but you're not .. it's okay to keep telling yourself that if it makes you happy though.

I had no intention of fighting .. he freaked out when I simply said I didn't know who Drowning Pool was. All he had to do was tell me some songs to try like any calm, rational person would have done but noooooo he launched a personal attack :freak:

Anyways, that thing with the dancing Megaman and that cat is fucking hillarious.
I faced death. I went in with my arms swinging. But I heard my own breath and had to face that I'm still living. I'm still flesh. I hold on to awful feelings. I'm not dead... My chest still draws breath. I hold it. I'm buoyant. There's no end.

the other thing that's always "undetermined" is AIDS. A lot of families don't want that getting out because of the things it suggests.

There was an article in our school newspaper (i use that term loosly) "Drowning Pool singer found dead, probably drowned in pool." Their music did suck.

i just found it kind of ironic how their hit song was 'bodies' and the chorus went "let the bodies hit the floor, let the bodies hit the floor...." and then sure enough it did.

still, you gotta feel kinda bad, i mean i wasn't a fan of their music, but a lot of people were. plus the man did die, regarless of his musical abilities he was a human being.

Goo point Kimmay. You have to look past the fact that he was a singer, whether or not you liked his music, I don't care. The man was a human being just like every one of us on here.
Some of you probably think I left. But was I ever here to start?
