Boxcar Racer - Watch The World

I watched the smoke as it grew darker, and blew up through the ruff.
I saw the fed, and saw them panic as the fire grew.
I saw Virginia, get rid of Langley and its secrets too.
I held your hand, and sat there knowing that we'd make it through.

I saw this man, dispose of hunger and soap operas too.
I saw this field, that grew perfection full of things you do.
I saw this box, get rid of heartache and cure cancer too.
When I awoke, I sat there hoping this is what we'll do.

If we can, we will leave a letter and this song
for you.
And we'll write, once a day and put it through the sea
to you.
We'll regret, all those things we thought of, but didn't ever do.

When the sky seems to clear, who will then be left,
but a few.

Me and you...

/\ Good point.
Tom was looking for something new, a side project. They do small venues not big hugs shows like Blink. He has said that being in BCR, is for making the music he wanted to make when he wanted to be an artist.
It's truly a great cd, with fast songs sad songs, and 2 crappy songs! But no cd is perfect!

I say them making Boxcar Racer is a direct bitch slap to Mark. I mean, wouldn't you be offended if 2/3 of your band ran off and started a new band to "make the music they wanted to make"?

Mark Hoppus is the best thing about Blink 182. I don't like Tom Delonge's voice, so I don't dig Boxcar Racer's stuff that much. Travis Barker is a sick drummer though. I don't think Mark is offended by Tom and Travis doing Boxcar Racer. They didn't say it was music "they always wanted to make", they just said that it wasn't stuff they could get away with in Blink 182.

there must 100s of best drummer 'awards' given out monthly...the winner is often whoever paid the most money to win or who the people giving the 'award' out have the best relationship with...its always some dumb thing like that. travis is a fine drummer...but ive never seen his as much more that that.

Have you guys ever heard Mike Mangini play? He used to be in Extreme and has played with Steve Vai. I have a drum solo from him on video that blows away Tommy Lee and every other great drummer I have ever seen. Mike Mangini now plays with Tribe Of Judah, who are fronted by Gary Cherone (ex-Van Halen/Extreme). He's an amazing drummer and if you saw this drum solo you would shit yourself!
