Biggest dissappointing cd so far this year?

General Music area.
Did punk rock get it right?

Postby the android » 7/20/2002, 6:30 pm

The only CD I bought this year that came out this year was Gravity, and I thought it was a good investment...

So, I can't say anything yet.

Same here. I'm too poor to buy cd's, so I get most of my music via the internet. If I really, really like the band, I buy the cd. So, I think the only cd's I bought this year were Good Charlotte's CD and Gravity. I like both of them.
HARDCORE!!!

It wasn't that I thought Gravity was a bad CD or not worth my money.. it just said most disappointing, and I guess I was hoping for more from OLP.

Sadly, Gravity is my least-listened CD purchase thus far.

I don't like Seeing Red too much. I LOVE  Up All Night though.
( <--------- note green script heading thingy). I could listen to that song over and over and still love it. LOL, its like my life. Umm.....actually, except for the whole smoking cigarettes and lighting roaches thing. I do have a habit of staying up all night to watch the sun come up again though:)

And I can't believe Gravity is your people's worst cd?????!!!?? Except for the only cd cases, lol. Its my best of the year, and I've gotten tons.

TT Roadsters..............
<---------------------------

Ahh.......but don't we all love them? LOL. I'm going to get one as soon as I get a chance.......I hope they still make them in 30 years :P

My mom did promise that the first thing she would do when she won the lottery is buy me one.........silver with that bad ass tint that starts out black and fades up to silver at the top. Black leather interior.....no baseball stitching though. I wish she bought lottery tickets.

I actually have this really bad habit of stalking them. Whenever I see one I go and look at it, but for some reason the owner is always RIGHT there and thinks I have bad intentions. And I always drive alongside them when I see them for as far as I can before it gets too much out of my way.

I might need therapy.

Gravity, I'll concur.

Live's "V" from last year is the same sort of album, too.. I mean, eerily similar. Both bands are this really amazing alternative/art-rock kind of music, and then they both release their fifth albums and they're just straight up rock albums. Ed Kowalcyk, lead singer for Live, said that people expected something like their previous four albums and what they got was a straight-ahead rock album, so they were disappointed.

I like both V and Gravity, but nowhere near as much as I like the first four albums by both bands.
