Click this for my answer.

There's also a blog there about good albums I discovered this year that weren't released this year, since someone did that, too.

Here's all the albums released in 2007 that I bought.. listed from best to worst

Big D & the Kids Table / Brain Failure - Beijing to Boston - Amazing cd on both bands' parts, each have one bad song on the album (Digging In Your Nails for Big D & You're Gonna Die for Brain Failure)... other than that, amazing punk album

Jimmy Eat World - Chase This Light - I enjoy every song on here except I'm not too fond of Here It Goes.. it's a must have, that I always like listening straight through

Big D & the Kids Table - Strictly Rude - My favorite ska album of the year (I consider Beijing to Boston more of a punk effort).. which is great for a year in which ska has definitely made a step up from obscurity... amazing live show also.

Streetlight Manifesto - Somewhere in the Between - Just barely below Strictly Rude, probably slightly better in the instrumentation/writing, but I like the energy of Strictly Rude slightly more... Tomas Kalonkey is an amazing songwriter.

Mustard Plug - In Black and White - Not their best album, but a great addition to their library... some of the nicest guys too, especially Colin Clive (guitarist).

Mad Caddies - Keep It Going - Another great ska album from this year, very varied sounds for a ska band, with punk, ska, raggae, swing and many other sounds touched on during the album.

Juno Soundtrack - If I was more into Indie rock, this would be my favorite album of the year. It's up near the top without even being a genre I listen to a lot.

Neighborhood Friendly - Live in Japan - Small ska band I saw with my girlfriend at Warped Tour, they were really good, and had a great record here.. the lead singer's joining the navy though and they only have one more show together with this lineup.

Dropkick Murphys - The Meanest of Times - I'm not the biggest fan of Dropkick, but this album was their best by far... all the cd's down to this point are all amazing, including this one, which is the only reason it's so low.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Medium Rare - Released just before Christmas, and very hard to find except on the internet... it's a great release by them, and I'd highly recommend it.

Ska Is Dead Compilation - There's a lot of good bands on this compilation, but most of them put on an afterthought of a song (except the live version of Streetlight Manifesto's A Better Place A Better Time.)

Aeroplane, 1929 - The Holy Ghost - Really good sophomore release from the small Massachusetts band... fans of OLP's Happiness.. sound should give this album a listen.

Koji on the Roof - Monsters - Local singer songwriter from right around my college, he brought in a full band for this album, and it has a very good, full sound to it.. he could be making it someday.

Reel Big Fish - Monkeys for Nothing and the Chimps for Free - Good album by RBF, better than their last few, but a drop off from their Live album, I don't think their energy translates into the studio.

The Stitch Up - Attitude Adjuster - Dan Potthast's side project (lead singer of MU330) is different than his ska history, it's a good indie rock record, If I Could Swim is the best song on the record.

Relient K - Five Score and Seven Years Ago - It's a good album, but Relient K can't try to be serious, their best songs are when they are goofy and funny.

Parkhurst - Parkhurst - Colin Clive (Mustard Plug)'s side project is a punk band, but you can tell his guitar playing throughout the songs, very good for a small punk band.

Bomb the Music Industry! - Get Warmer - I like them as a band, and they're really good, but I don't listen to it a lot because it's not something I can sing along to.

Topshelf Records 2007 Compilation - Many good bands on here, but there's enough weak ones on there to drop it down.

Rascal Flatts - Still Feels Good - I'm not a big country fan, but I bought this for my girlfriend and she had me put a copy on my iPod for her to listen to in the car when we go off.

Best bands I found in 2007:
Tip the Van
Aeroplane, 1929
Seven Mile Drive
Brain Failure

I don't know what my favorite album of 2007 was, but my favorite song is definitely In Our Bedroom after the War. Because I am in love with Stars. So their album as a whole is up there, but mainly that song.

I can't remember what was released this year that I listened to. I really liked the new New Pornographers CD. Challengers. Mm.
I just wanna get out,
Stuck inside of this.
Waiting for something else,
:wte:
