Radiohead - In Rainbows! New album!

General Music area.
Did punk rock get it right?

I've thought about the order of the tracklist a bit. 15 Step has always seemed like either an opener or a 3rd or so from the end song, and Videotape was always the closer in my mind. I'd never really given Open Pick... err, ahh... Jigsaw Falling into Place a real chance, but I listened again today and paid attention to the lyrics, and now I'm happy that it's there. Tomorrow I'll probably queue up my favorite live versions of all the songs (minus the 3 they've never performed) and see how it flows.

I can put them online if anyone wants to hear!

I ordered the download (the $80 isn't worth it for me since I'd really only want it for the second CD).

I'm kinda pissed that I paid what I normally would for a CD, only to find out they're going to release a physical copy of the CD through traditional means early next year. Would have been nice to know that before shelling out the cash.

In any case, I'm excited for the 10th :D

$80 is a lot, but I went for it because I'm insane and have just about all their releases (well, the albums, main EPs, and UK singles) except for Drill. I will probably begin collecting vinyl at some point, but so far the only Radiohead related vinyl I have is Thom's single Harrowdown Hill. When December rolls around I'll get the 2nd disc on the hub for everyone who hasn't found it in other places by then. There are going to be some awesome tracks on it. :)

:O

Nearly two-thirds of downloaders paid nothing for Radiohead's latest album, a survey has suggested.

Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.
