Hey guys, I was at the Lovedrug show in Columbus last night with Brian, and they made an announcement that all their stuff was stolen in Detroit a couple of weeks ago. Mobile, another great band, was playing with them and was kind enough to let Lovedrug use their gear.
I just got home from Columbus, and I had this letter from the band in my inbox:
(You can view the entire letter, with pictures and the link to donate HERE)
Hello friends,
As many of you may have heard, our van and trailer were stolen last weekend after our show in Detroit. We just wanted to provide details for many of you who've asked and especially to express our deep appreciation for all of your support.
Obviously we do try to be careful when touring. On this night we drove a ways out of the city before stopping for the night, locking and parking the van and trailer in a well-light section of a hotel parking lot. The police did find the van and trailer several days later. As you can see from the pictures below, the van was burned out and the trailer was stripped to it's frame. Kind of scary that people do this to each other as a profession but they do.

We really do appreciate all of your messages of support. There has been a lot of kindness and it means a lot to each of us. Many of you have even made donations at shows and online to help us recover our loss. This is also a tremendous help and means more than you know. While we do have insurance on both the vehlces and equipment, it is never enough to cover all the deductibles, uncovered items like cds/shirts, changing gear lists, and of course all our personal possessions. If you'd care to donate, please do so - every little bit helps.
Obvisouly our gear is presumably still out there somewhere, being resold to pawn shops, online, etc. Any information that anyone can pass along to help us track down our gear, especially the guitars, would be GREATLY appreciated. Here is a list of some of the more valuable, identifieable items that were taken:

If anyone in the Detroit area knows where any of these things might be pawned off, let the band know.
The show was awesome, by the way. It sucks that something like that had to happen to them.
