Love definitely came out in 2003. If you meant Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat it came out in 2005.

2006 albums I own... listed from least favorite to favorite

(Yet to listen to Barenaked Ladies - Barenaked Ladies Are Me, received 12/20)
(Yet to listen to Our Lady Peace - A Decade, to be received 12/25)

7. Faktion - Faktion
6. Breaking Benjamin - Phobia
5. Less Than Jake - In With The Out Crowd
4. AFI - Decemberunderground
3. A Change Of Pace - Prepare The Masses
2. Anti-Flag - For Blood And Empire
1. Snow Patrol - Eyes Open

Quick notes on these albums...

Faktion: It has a few bright spots, which is what I bought it on, but most of the album seems like filler stuff, but it's not BAD for a debut album, probably won't buy another album from them again unless they make a major step up

Phobia: Good on the first few listens, but then you notice the fact that most of the songs sound almost the same, and it grows old fast

In With The Out Crowd: Evidently better than the two cd's listed above, but not even close to the rest of this list, it's good, but not great, occasional listen on the playlist

Decemberunderground: Really good cd, but not as good as the old AFI stuff (Black Sails, Art of Drowning), often listen for me

Prepare The Masses - Great cd for a band I had never heard of before, recommended to me by the one guy who works at FYE, very good

For Blood And Empire - Great cd, good punk sound, and I like politics.. so it works

Eyes Open - One of my favorite cd's in my entire collection

What? I dunno......I'm a die hard B.B. fan and I guess I don't see it. I think theres only like 2 tracks on that entire album that I really don't care for.

The guys matured on their third album; big time. It's definitely their best, yet. They're finally establishing themselves.

Mew and the Glass Handed Kites is technically an '05 album. Otherwise, my favorite album of last year was actually from the future.

Considering they broke up like in January after Deadbeat Sweetheartbeat tanked last year, I would guess it's a pretty safe bet they didn't release an album this year.

Two things.

1. Mew did not come out in America until 2006, not to mention, I had never heard of Mew until 2006, which is hard to believe, considering I spend my time being snobby and knowing about music before the general world. So, like last year with The Go! Team's "Thunder, Lightning, Strike" album, Mew counts for the current year.

2. Umm, Owen Pallett is very gay. In fact, he started playing music with the intention of impressing another man. So, in other words, I have a much better chance to make him fall in love with me than you. But good luck!

Maybe I should start it back in my rotation, I might have just listened to it too much too early, Dance With The Devil was my favorite on it followed by Evil Angel.. some of the others weren't that great imo... but overall, it was good for a while.. perhaps I'll give it another try though

I will agree with you that it is their best yet.. but I do enjoy some of the raw stuff like Shallow Bay and Natural Life from time to time too
