Pimping out Mariana's Trench w00t!!!

Up and coming Vancouver band Mariana's Trench will be touring with Three Days Grace in Ontario over the next three weeks.

Wooo I am so proud and excited for these guys!!! A friend of mine who moved out west caught them in some sketchy club a few years back and has been following them since and subsequently got me addicted. High energy shows and even though it's sort of the same industry packed punk rock sound we've been hearing since blink 182, they're a cool CANADIAN band so check them out if you can!

Tour Schedual is as follows:
April 9th, 2006 The Foundation Barrie, ON With Three Days Grace 19+
April 10th, 2006 Barrymore's Music Hall Ottawa, ON With Three Days Grace 19+
April 12th, 2006 Vibe Nightclub Peterborough, ON With Three Days Grace 19+
April 14th, 2006 Norma Jeans London, ON With Three Days Grace 19+
April 27th, 2006 The Roxy 932 Granville St. 604 Records New Music West Showcase. 19+

All you hubbers in Ontario I am SO le jealous of you all and will be SEVERELY DISAPPOINTED if you don't catch atleast ONE of their shows.

Not that I'm ever actually IN the hub anymore but I'm sharing a few of their songs (folder MT) and you can get more samples from their myspace page, or website

Decided to Break It is my personal fave.

Their debut cd is due out 30 May and they just wrapped up a video for their debut single Say Anything and hope to get it on Much's airwaves. Those in Vancouver area are prolly hearing the single as it's on heavy rotation on the fox.

So yeah check them out!

/end pimping

I'm thinking that last date is in Vancouver. But it's the same day as OLP :(
Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

Thanks for the myspace/website links! I love being able to check out new tunage because my rotation has been getting rather repeated and overplayed, lately.

I'll have to check these guys out......I really liked the track "Say Anything". Had a very decent chorus. While the track seemed kind of American Idol "safe", I still liked the song.
"Decided to Break It" gave me too much of a Fallout Boy vibe......
