Open your eyes to nights and days, you close them up and float away
and somehow inbetween you've got to master lying to yourself
you back the cause, get out of school, you get a job, the job gets you
and somehow every day you end up serving somebody else
now if that ain't panic that you're feeling, then you damn well better start
you can drive it into that head of yours with the hammer in your heart.

And it's alriiiiiiiight now, take the world and make it yours again.

I'll be at the Windsor date, but I'm going for Jimmy Gnecco, not NWL. I haven't heard any NWL stuff besides Jimmy's song, but I'm sure it'll be good times.

The Toronto show was absolutley kick ass. Everyone who performed was just awesome. The concert started at roughly 9pm and didn't end until about 2am. It was amazing. First, some guy on an acoustic guitar came out and did a few songs- he was pretty good. Then Lights Out came on and they were phenomenal. Next up was Marco Defelice who played for quite a while. Then we were treated to an hour long set from Jimmy Gnecco and Static. Then the main attraction, NWL. The energy from their set was awesome. The songs sounded so pure.

Setlist:

Angels & Saints
From What I Once Was
Age of Consent (Marco Defelice sang)
A Littlepiece (Marco Defelice sang)
Return Our Lives
This Longing (Daniel Greaves sang)
Soft Parade (Daniel Greaves sang - this is a song from his former band, The Watchmen)
I Hope Your Heart Runs Empty
The Grace (Dallas Green sang)
Comin' Home (Dallas Green sang - this is a song from his latest release as City and Colour)
Of All The Things You've Done Wrong (Jimmy Gnecco sang)
Our Final Hymn (Jimmy Gnecco sang)

Encore:
Liar

I managed to grab a setlist and was fortunate enough to meet Daniel Victor after and have him sign it. He's such a nice guy, it's really amazing. He signed the setlist as "Jon: My Windsor buddy" so I was pretty excited about that.

Also, big shout out to Lori, Miro, and Kruno. It was great chatting to you guys - look forward to seeing you all again.

And Nam... WHERE WERE YOU?!?!!?

Finally, check out the hub for some videos and pics from the show last night (my username is RaineDude)

HI! I just got back from the Windsor show and it was amaaaaaaaaaaazing. I didn't even go for NWL and ended up loving them/him/whatev.

We got there at like 7:30 and all the tables were reserved so we were just standing around and then this guy comes up and asks if we wanted a table and we thought he worked there so we said sure, but they were all reserved. So he went and stole some table with equipment on it and found random chairs and made a table for us, it was pretty awesome and we were grateful because as it turned out we had to wait for like 2 hours before anyone started playing.

It turned out that the guy who did that for us was Daniel Victor's dad. I guess he's from Windsor and all of his family and friends were there, it was pretty neat. Later on in the show his dad sang a song with him too (the song that the Finger 11 dude sings), it was pretty amazing, his dad had a great voice.

Jimmy came on at like 9 and, as always, did an amazing set. His setlist (not really in order):
Murder/Mercy
Kill The Band
God Always Wants You
Crying (Roy Orbison cover)
Fallen Souls
I Heard You Singing
I'm A Monster
Bleed

Then NWL came on and I have no idea of any of the song titles but they were all good. Only Jimmy and his dad sang songs with him, otherwise it was just him.

And Jonny, it's funny that you said that because he signed my sisters thing "To my Detroit buddy" and my friends "To my other Detroit buddy"
- megan.
