The Arcade Fire Appreciation Thread

Does anyone other than me think that the Arcade Fire is an amazing band? They're my second-favourite band (after OLP of course). I think they're so talented and original but so many people (and basically all non-Canadians) have never heard of them. Does anyone else have their EP or their full-length Funeral? Has anyone seen them live? People tell me they're amazing live. My favourite songs by them are Neighbourhood #1 (Tunnels), Wake Up, and Headlights Look Like Diamonds.

They were on the cover of Time magazine. Many people have heard of them. ;)

That's awesome. Had I known about that back in April, I would've picked it up.:(

"Funeral" was my fourth favorite record of last year, pretty amazing for a debut.

What's so funny about that statement? People rank their CDs for the year all the time. I just happen to remember my Top 5 from last year still.

And I was the same way. The first time I heard it, I didn't like it at all. I kept it on my computer for a couple months though never listening to it, and eventually I gave it another shot. Then it hit me how great it was.

Rebellion

is definatly one of the best songs, and not just because it was their break out hit.
