The Band Hedley

Postby Scutley » 8/3/2005, 3:23 pm

Hey guys just heard this song called "On My Own" by Hedley last night. This is an awesome song. I think they a new candain band. If anyone else has heard of them tell me about them and how do you like them?

I will send you the song "On My Own" from them via AIM (Screename: Scutley). Notice I will be away a times, but leave me a message and I will try to get back. At least I share.

amazing band....

here's a quick background....

Jacob Hoggard...the lead singer....was a contestant on canadian idol....he tried out for it on a dare from a friend....made it to the top three, then asked his fans not to vote for him so he wouldn't win, to avoid a 3 year contract to be a pop-star...

the reason he did this was to make a record with his band hedley (he always wore hedley shirts on the show when he performed to promote the band)

look for other great songs from them like:

Saturday
Brave New World
Gunnin'
Streetfight
Trip
Sugar Free
I Bleed
What Smiles Can't Afford

thats all i can think of now....they are a great band out of BC and i think they will really make it on the radio
Is there something good, something more?
Is there anything worth dying for?

I requested the song to a DJ for him to play it on the 89X peoples choice. I hope he does, but he never plays really any of my request as other DJ's do so who knows.

Actually he gets really annoying playing songs. He will play one song, and the next hour he will play it over again and so on. It gets really annoying. I don't mind the same band with a different song, but the same band with the same song, it gets awfully annoying. Ya, i used annoying a lot but who cares.

 I haven't heard the single yet, But I don't have AIM or any IM. I went to there website but it's not playing on my computer, I keep a eye open for it on the radio. I  rock bands from Canada. :P I will be seeing them live soon enough with OLP.

Hmm..I wonder who would have been in the top 2 had Jacob not asked his fans NOT to vote for him.

I really like "On My Own"...hopefully, Hedley will be a success. Jacob's an amazing performer despite any claims that CI may have tarnished his reputation. I especially like the song "Sugar Free"..hoping that becomes a single.
And if I don't make it known that
I've loved you all along
Just like sunny days that
We ignore because
We're all dumb and jaded
And I hope to God I figure out
What's wrong

me too :D
i'm coming back from university 3 days after i move in!! just for hedley.
but they are SO worth it.

and what the person above me said about jacob.. he IS an incredible performer. i've never seen anyone with such a stage presence.
sugar free is going to be on the album, at least from what i know, but it's going to be pretty different from the old demo....

and i've been a huge fan of hedley for the past year.
i am SO proud of them, that they are finally getting recognized...
i hope they get all the success they deserve.
