God Lives Underwater is releasing a new CD on September 28th called "Up Off The Floor". I already downloaded the whole album back when they had it up on their site (there were a lot of legal issues and the band was unsure if the album would ever see a proper release) and I think it's absolutly amazing! You may remember some of their earlier songs such as "From Your Mouth" and "Don't Know How To Be". They also covered Depeche Mode's "Fly On The Windscreen" for a DM tribute CD.
Anyway, this album was recorded a while back and the band has since broken up with it's two main members playing in other bands and doing some solo stuff as well. They are still on good terms though, and I heard from the webmaster of their official site that if the album does well, they will TOUR AGAIN!!! I've had the pleasure of seeing them live twice and they really rocked out at both shows. If you have any interest in this band at all, buy this album! You can preorder it here .
If you don't know them, do yourself a favor and d/l this song for free from the record co.'s website. It is by no means the best song on the album, but it's great nonetheless (all the songs are) and it will give you a good idea of their sound.
I have trouble comparing them to anything else, but I've heard comparisons to Nine Inch Nails and Gravity Kills. They're kind of industrial/electronic rock if I had to fit them into a category.
